Saturdays probably better than Sunday just incase things don't go to plan.

My only worry is a sat double header at Bushhome, that would be a rip-off for our "home" game but I wouldn't put it past the NRL.

By right, Minor premiers should be given every advantage available and that means playing on the Friday night so we have more recovery time for the next game...of course there are no rights for clubs in this comp unlike other leagues around the world. The only rights are for the Nine network and without a doubt they will prefer the Broncos v cowgirls for Friday night...of course I could always be wrong.

Where ever or whenever we play , I hope that the Red ,White and Blue army marches with the team - it was so good to see us out number the opposition for once.

Where has everyone been all year?

We're definitely not playing Friday according to the betting agencies, they've already framed a market for Sept 11 Brisbane vs North Queensland. Has there been any 'official' NRL announcement??

any chance we play on Sunday?

when will we know? Tonight or tomorrow?

Assume we'll know MRC charges tomorrow?

indications are we are going to be on sunday if we play the sharks, good for fans to get to the game, but we lose some competitive advantage of forcing the sharks into a short turnaround if we played earlier.

it is what it is I guess, just hope the scheduling doesn't come back to bite us should we lose next weekend and are forced into a short turnaround.

Personally, and i'm sure many others, would prefer Saturday night as it saves all the rushing around after work and Saturday night will probably draw a bigger crowd.

This has to be one of the "better" conspiracy theories.
Have we worked out how to beat the Sharks yet?
How to beat the 'foul play' and 'thuggery'?
                      ...among other things.

If we lose to the Sharks again we deserve a short turn around.

We reveal how the first week of NRL finals is likely to look...

Cronulla is likely to be granted its wish and play the Sydney Roosters next Saturday night if it nails down fourth spot with a win over Manly on Sunday.
The Sharks were concerned they would be handed the Friday night time slot if they finish fourth, meaning they would face a five-day turnaround compared to the Roosters' seven.

The NRL will confirm its week one finals schedule on Sunday night but it appears the all-Queensland shoot-out between Brisbane and North Queensland will kick the finals series off on Friday night.

In a bid to avoid a direct showdown with the AFL's second elimination final between Western Bulldogs-Adelaide at the MCG, the NRL is likely to schedule Melbourne-St George Illawarra in the early Saturday timeslot.

The all-Sydney blockbuster between Canterbury and South Sydney would then round off week one at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.

Venues and the order of games are, of course, subject to change after the NRL consults with broadcast partner Channel 9 on Sunday night following the end of the regular season (kick-off times for each finals match are as stated below).

The likely week 1 finals schedule

                            (2) V (3)
                            Day: Friday

Makes sense seeing they played on Thursday night.

Stuff Cronulla, it should be when it suits us to play as we finished 1st but I do agree with their concerns about the 5 day turnaround if they were scheduled for Friday night, I would prefer the Sunday arvo. Wonder when we will play if Melbourne hold onto 4th spot ?
