Jacko ended up playing dummy half, looked good. Definitely an option off the bench this year if Robbo wants a bit of spark.

Joseph Manu ended up playing fullback for the Kiwis, didn't do anything wrong just didn't get much opportunity. Beautiful step for his try. Looks classy.

Mmm and given how good Jimmy was for Country, there's no guarantee he ever will be that good.

He does seem to be a cheeky character (a little like Maloney) though... which I like. Too many d*ckh3ads who take themselves too seriously out there. Good to see players who can just enjoy their mates and enjoy playing footy even under the pressures of a professional environment.

Doubt he regrets leaving us. He was never getting a run until origin. He's a decent player morts but he's just not big enough. Some slender players can cut it but he just wasn't tough enough. I'd have liked to have seen him put some more size on.

We really miss his support play as he was always sniffing for the ball.

He was more of a ball runner than a ball player. And he just wasn't big enough to play that type of football. I remember cursing him countless times about being unable to run the back line. I don't think we miss him. If he was in our squad he wouldn't be anywhere in our team. Hastings is all over morts.

Milne is our captain in the lower grade with hastings, mitchell, lussick.

I don't think hastings is so popular amoungst some of his 20s team mates.
he and taane had a few run ins in the Anzac game and taane looked like he wanted to kill him ..even joey manu looked as if he didn't care too much for hastings
