More than likely. Probably as soon as round 9 or 10 lol

But I've never been so disconsolate at the state of officiating to the point where I don't even enjoy watching our games anymore. They're torture.

The opposition also receive automatic penalties whenever they drop the ball in the PtB.

It is soul destroying watching our boys get absolutely ripped off almost every week. Last year was bad, especially the Preliminary Final, but somehow things have gotten even worse in 2015.

The state of officiating is in such a mess with no signs of even an acknowledgement of an issue from the NRL let alone an improvement that I can't sit through seeing us get ripped off any more. As others have stated, I too no longer even enjoy watching us play. instead I'm just waiting for the refs to rear their ugly ****ing heads and ruin a good game. Quite often with an error, but just as often by putting the whistle in their pockets when we have the ball.

Like i said I'll watch ANZAC Day because it's a special occasion. But does anyone have ANY doubt that we'll lose the penalty count? Of course we will. And so after that I'm taking a much needed break. I'll just pretend it's mid-2009 all over again!
You crack me up Tommy 😀. Your self imposed ban will last to about an hr before the game....then you will get sweaty palms....crack a cold one....and grab the remote.

You will be watching all season like the rest of us.

I don't think anybody is saying they will stop supporting the roosters. I think people are more saying they may walk away from the NRL as their main competition. I for on think that if the NRL continues with it's downward spiral for say another two years, then AFL may be a better option, largely because of it's highly efficient refereeing and great crowds and entertainment. Despite that however, Roosters will always be my side and I would never stop supporting them and I still believe we'll come good this week and kickstart our season. Remember, we were in the same position last year and ended up getting the MP and the comp is even closer this year.

Yea Tommy you won't be able to not watch like me it's devastating but I can't let them do it alone (i know how dumb that sounds) but seriously, I'm not a wealthy man and while this continues I can't see myself renewing my membership, I just can't throw good money after bad.

Thank God I'm out of the country on a holiday for a month after ANZAC day. I feel you pain Tommy.

JT we all love the Roosters, it's not walking away from them, I will always be a member. It's the NRL which is making us not wanting to watch the matches any more and their inept and probably corrupt match officials.

That's probably the reason season ticket memberships have not increased.
People are just sick of seeing the team 'refereed' out of a fair contest.

They know that where 'rusted on' and they use it to their advantage.

They want rival fans to know that no team is over the salary cap and that they have a 50/50 chance of winning the game and making the finals so they should tune in and also spend their coin.

Let's stick the 9 million dollar roster(Kent, Crawley, Rothfield articles) mid table so that they know our salary cap system is working.

Let's assist the clubs that we've lent money too and those who'd otherwise lose 80% of the games get off to a positive start so that their fans maintain interest.

Let's have close games so that the broadcasters reap the rewards of their investments.

The NRL are like really bad in-laws which come attached to my beloved Roosters. That's the only way to describe it. You can't have one without the other!

I wasn't too upset that I couldn't get my dodgy streaming sites to work last night so I listened to the ABC via the NRL website. I'm just about to watch the game now via the T-box service even though we lost because I know we didn't disgrace ourselves.

I guess Trent doesn't want to fall into the same category as Craig Bellamy, Ricky Stuart, Geoff Toovey and Des Hasler by using the press conference to whinge and be disparaging. I'm all for enlightenment and good karma but gee there are days when even the most Zen amongst us need to let off steam sometimes! We are all human and there is only so much a girl can take!

                              I get it totally.

But if I stopped watching the roosters play there would be a big hole in my life. And I would suspect I'm not fe only one.

Don't get me wrong. I have gotten so frustrated I have considered walking away in the heat of the moment too. But the simple fact is that it's not possible.

Someone from the US would be ideal as they take their sport very seriously due to the many millions their professionals get paid. There are people out there who do this for a living and it would be a worthwhile investment for the club as a business.
