JFC , you miss the point - no one man makes a team, everyone needs to be on for the full 80 mins without lapses of commitment.

Teams which rely on one player are often found wanting.

Mate he is our best player..fairly clearly for mine.

You take Thurston or cam smith etc. Out of their teams and watch the effect.

Jake lifts and complements the skill sets of those around them and makes them better too.

Its not about one man on his own its their effect on the whole team.

Interesting thoughts on Fergo considering he doesn't play in a spine position.

His energy and enthusiasm was exactly what the team needed this year and we've looked flat without him.

imo key for us moving forward - Friendy back to his best and controlling the middle and Jimmy finding some form.

I think Pearce is the one who has to lift. After three rounds I thought he was going to be in for his best ever season but he has dropped off.

With the dogs halves doing SFA this year he needs to lift to take over the SOO incumbent winning halfback.

Pearce and BBQ have a $90K carrot dangling over their heads over the next few weeks.

Pearce and SOO are like oil and water mixed together.

It's playing on his mind and imo he will fire after SOO is over.

Our forwards need to stop the rot. They have been dominated the last 2 weeks.

Another positive thread from chookpen favourite coggie
                  Comment of the year:

I like what you have gotta say Gman!

SST is the beast from Easts, Liu better utilised off the bench IMO. Isaac not suited for the heavy artillery and has nice footwork before the line and could develop a nice ofload which he exhibited in the lower grades and juniors.

Teams are more likely to suffer when a either a forward goes missing or the pack is not up to speed

Well both the above reasons hold water for mine

Jake is back but he's almost but not quite up to his usual levels of execution

Guerra is missing & for me that was the crucial difference last Friday night

Liu should be replaced by Mr T at lock, he's not cutting the mustard & should be utilized from the bench

We are not far off peeps!!

I invite the death riders to revise the situation in 12 weeks time

& please don't crap on about the refs they make such easy scape goats
Don't worry for a Easts supporter he is a negative death riding tosser. Who skipped a Roosters match for dinner with his friends.....Dragons game last year to be correct.

Roosters supporter since 1966 and all that blah blah blah!!! More been death riding them unless they can play like 74/75....as if any team can do that?

We were playing 100 times better when Fergo was in the team anyone who disagrees is kidding themselves.

Mate I was referring to Jake as our best player not Fergo!

                              Sorry JFC

Yea, i consider Friendy to be our MVP. We need him back to his best !

He's our glue who sets the standard down the middle and adds accountability.

Bro's Pearce could have been struggling the added burdon of being el captaino.

Is he still seeing that old guru he saw last year who gave him some pointers?
