. It would be nice to know why the Broncos were not penalised once in the second half against the Roosters.
The effects of the longstanding second half penalty famine for the roosters extend beyond the obvious.

RTS is gone. His game as a fullback is less affected by the habitual offside defence of our opponents each week.

But look at Maloney. His game as a playmaker is one of inches - he created points against the broncos earlier in the game - but look how frustrated he was (and how mercilessly bagged by many here) during golden point as he tried to win it for us (and missed out on doing so by a couple of inches). The broncos knew there was zero chance of them being penalised for being WAY offside and they acted like it. They weren't even the tiniest bit nervous they might give away a penalty and a kick at goal to win, as they knew with certainty we do not get penalties given to us.

Consequently Maloney had no room and was made to look silly with his last attempt at FG.

Don't you think this is on Maloney's mind as he considers whether he should stay with us for less money? The butt rape by the refs against us shows signs at all of abating. Why shouldn't he move elsewhere where he will earn more and his chances of success, and indeed his market value, will be less deflated by this dreadful, shameful bias against our club by these cheating, disgusting turds?

Agree mate...Jimmy is hugely affected by the biased Reffing we cop. He is a very smart and gutsy player and we are damn lucky to have him.

Agree with Buddy also on the why we can't buy a penalty when it matters...we would rarely lose if they gave us a go and that's bad for business... Apparently!

i called it after the raiders game when they were so offside. if penalties are nearly even it is due to the enemy allowing our opponents to play offside as a smother

The closer the games the more exciting for TV.
Look at the sharks game. They were blatantly offside all game and we got the offside penalty with about a minute to go when the game was over.

Good to see Rothfield mention this. It is slowly starting to get momentum why we are not receiving penalties.
We just have to keep it going for more to notice with stats being shown.

In his column on Sunday he wrote this. Apart from Friday we were carving it up. Anyone know if this could relate to one of our guys?
SHOOSH
WHICH stand-out rookie can’t get a start in his club’s NRL team because he is so unpopular with the players over his massive ego. The youngster is carving up all opposition in Holden Cup but won’t be promoted until he pulls his head in.
The first sentence sums it up perfectly.

How ****ing stupid are opposition fans? Unable to comprehend that it's about the lack of penalties we receive.

It makes me sad for the human race.

The reason why we are hammered I think traces back to the 'tip sheet' days of Bill Harragan. He used to come up with these ludicrous tip sheets telling referees what each players 'little tricks' were. As a result referees went into game with pre-conceived ideas on what each player was up to. This led to us being heavily scrutinised and penalised accordingly. The domino effect is that we are then given a reputation as an ill-disciplined team and referees felt more comfortable and more compelled to penalise us. Add to that the media drum that we deliberately give away penalties to slow down play and refs think every time a play the ball is slow or a ball is dislodged in a tackle we must have done something illegal and we end up with the bullshit we cop game after game

I read that thread mate.

There were a couple of posters who supported other teams that comprehended the concept.

Most others were too simple minded and explained it away as "it's because the roosters give away penalties deliberately".

So that willfully retarded theory has stuck in the feeble minds of most of the RL public like shit to a blanket.

Help is not on the way.
