  • BUZZ - Spin Cycle

Must have have been on the turps :

Didnt realise once again ...we got shafted not a 2nd half penalty again , and Buzz made a point of it ?

    SPIN CYCLE
On one of the rare occasions they got something right, the NRL spin doctors sent Todd Greenberg and Gerard Sutton to The Footy Show last week to bask in the glory. Let’s hope they do the same to explain the next major stuff-up. It would be nice to know why the Broncos were not penalised once in the second half against the Roosters.

Maybe Mr. Rothfield, who is a journalist (note that I use the word journalist like I would the word pedophile) has finally seen through the bullshit and realises that the Roosters do get screwed regularly and by several different men.

Yes, the Roosters are the referees' whores.
    SUPER DRAGON!

WE WILL ALWAYS BE REFEREED HARSHLY AGAINST, BECAUSE THE REFS OVER MANY YEARS BELIEVE WE A RORTING THE SALARY CAP AND THE REFS BELIEVE IT IS THERE DUTY TO UNFAIRLY GIVE PENALTISE TO THE OPPOSITION OR NOT GIVE THE ROOSTERS PENALTISE THEY DESERVE. WEEK IN WEEK OUT IT'S THE SAME, LIKE YEAR AFTER YEAR IT'S THE SAME!!! And if Phil the Dill could stop indicating we are rorting the salary cap every time there is a slow news day in the NRL, just maybe we may get a F#$%*^ FAIR GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the reasons we get shafted with penalties is because if we got our even share we would likely put on a big score which is not good for business.
The closer the games the more exciting for TV.
Look at the sharks game. They were blatantly offside all game and we got the offside penalty with about a minute to go when the game was over.

Good to see Rothfield mention this. It is slowly starting to get momentum why we are not receiving penalties.
We just have to keep it going for more to notice with stats being shown.

In his column on Sunday he wrote this. Apart from Friday we were carving it up. Anyone know if this could relate to one of our guys?

WHICH stand-out rookie can’t get a start in his club’s NRL team because he is so unpopular with the players over his massive ego. The youngster is carving up all opposition in Holden Cup but won’t be promoted until he pulls his head in.

I think the reason why refs give us a hard time is unconscious. Freud (who was a big roosters fan - his 'penis envy' theory was mistranslated and is better translated as 'coq envy') talked about how people do things without necessarily knowing the conscious reasons why they do it. It's not that the refs are against us, it's more that when it comes to the 50-50 calls they go with unconscious beliefs, reinforced by years of lopsided penalty counts, that the roosters are habitual rule breakers.

So - all we need to do is send a few copies of 'The Psychopathology of Everyday Life' to Tony Archer and everything will be sweet.

I'm surprised that we have 14k members with the amount of bias sausage we cop.

It's my love for the Roosters that keeps me engaged and interested and not so much a competition that's full of engineered results and rules for some.

Could be Hastings. He mentioned in his blog today that Hastings would be Maloney's replacement if only he sorted out his ego

only problem with that is Hastings is far from carving up the Holden Cup, our team is 2-4 and has copped a couple of real beltings.

Could hardly be said Hastings is carving up opposition in the 20's given they're 2 - 4.

Prior to Friday we did score 114 points in the previous 2 games so you could say we were carving it up.
I didn't see either of the games so I don't know how SoH performed in those games.

Yeah, but that's assuming that rothfield knows the first thing about Hastings Jnr. I'm betting he doesn't.

I hope we keep Jimmy otherwise i'm confident that Hastings will do the job.

He'll have the best 2 strike centres in the game to feed.

Cordner and Guerra running great lines.Nene is also no slouch in the air and Joe Burgess has plenty of speed or Skidoo if he hangs around.

                          And hopefully a ball-playing FB.

Fullback is the key position we need to fill.

I wonder how far they will let us go this year? I just love coughing up dollars for my membership and watching these lopsided games. I sat there and watched Jimmys fg attempt hit the crossbar and realized a lot more goes into winning 80 minutes of football than just one play. An above poster is right, imagine the average outcome of our matches if reffed fairly or even winning a penalty count?!
Problem is we are losing these "entertaining close games more often than not with the cowboys final last year being an exception. Only because our defense was AWESOME in that last 30 minutes.

Psychologically, how does it affect the boys week in week out having to put up with that?
