Maloney I think needs to go. He is getting old and can demand 750k at other clubs so I think he needs to go. He is a turnstile in defence and cost us the game on Friday with the missed tackle on Hunt plus his horrible field goal attempt on the 4th tackle

The issue with BBQ is the money he wants. We have made a good offer according to his manager which apparently he has knocked back.
No doubt he can get a lot more at a club like Manly so if he stays it will probably be at a cost to him.

I'm not saying he's a horrible player, but I'm not sure he's worth the money. He definitely has a great running game but his kicking game is on and off and his defence is the second worst in the league, after Brooks.

I think the money saved on him could either be spent for a FB or for retention of the large majority of our squad, which if we can retain then we will be a force for another 5 years.

Also, our team is not going to struggle points at all, evidenced by the fact that we haven't been firing that well yet have still scored the most points. It is our defence that needs work if we're gonna take out the premiership and it needs to return to 2013 standard, or at least near it. I feel that Maloney is not allowing this to happen at the moment. Just watch his attempted tackle on Hunt in Golden Point, it was atrocious. I'm not saying it can't be fixed but maybe he needs to get his contract sorted out before he can fully commit week in week out

Dale Copely marked Jennings and was up on him nice and early to cut him down. He did a great job nullifying Jennings. If the service was better we may have made some more points down that side
