And they can't backflip now. It would smash team harmony to pieces.
Why exactly would keeping Sheck damage team harmony?

Any player that gets the shits about us keeping the best player in the team can **** off

Eventhough a lot of baggage comes with him I wouldn't say no the guy has some real talent.

Bloody oath, plus he could cover both halves and fullback so he's versatile. Here's another one:

Based on this season I'd happy let SKD, Toops and Maloney go for RTS. Probably a big call but it would mean Hastings gets the 5/8 gig and Nene and one of Elliot, Slaimankhel and Burgess get wing spots. I know Burgess hasnt impressed for Wigan this season but he is showing form that highlights why we bought him recently and before that was good. Unfortunately I don't think the club agrees, and there are obvious reasons for that.

With that many cameras around, i still don't know how toops hasn't been caught puffing on cones during the match, i swear he is the most care free player i have seen.

His carefree nature is effecting his confidence imo

He referred to himself as a fringe player in our squad yet played for the Kangaroos and NSW last year.

He needs to start believing in himself and his ability.

                FFS Toops!

Wellllll that's the crux really ay? RTS is definitely worth $800k+ as a dally m winger of the year, international outside back and premiership winning player who just keeps getting better and better. No doubt!

However, is that $800k gonna be best spent on him... or better spent on say... securing Evans, Taukeiaho, Feego, Toops, Maloney and friends. There's much more that our management have to think about other than RTS. Unfortunately, I don't think $800k would be well spent on him when our backline already has Toops, Jennings, Fergo, Nene, Lattrel and possibly Hastings. IMO if we paid RTS $800k, a minimum of 2 other players would have to go in order to free up the cash. This would do more damage than losing RTS will do.

He would be the highest paid player by some distance after already showing he wants to leave. And he would only be there for the money. And that's without even thinking about the teammates that would have to be sacrificed for him.

Look at what happened at Manly with Cherry-Evans (and he didn't even stay in the end). It has destroyed their club.

Like I said in another thread, he will sink without trace in New Zealand and I say serve his right. If he had any brains he would see that no one ever signs with the Warriors and comes out of it a better player. He'll have money in the bank, but that's all he'll have. When his next contract is due, he'll get what he's worth -- $350-$400K. Or worse: he'll end up in England.

Yes. And score more than 7 tries a season.

The point is that he is not an $800K player. That makes him a top ten in the game.

He may be one day but they are paying massive overs.

We should be thankful our management aren't irresponsible enough to try and match it.

Exactly. Promising young Kiwis are a dime a dozen.
