Just thought I would share something I read in RLW last week:
Rubgy League Week
FROM THE SHEDS
by Tom Smith (16 March 2011)
Luckless Anthony Cherrington is using the birth of his child as motivation to recover from his second knee reconstruction in as many years. "We're having a baby next month, so the aim was to be able to walk so I can give my partner a hand," the 22 year old says. "It's something new that's happening in my life and I'm taking it with open hands." If rehab goes according to plan, Cherrington hopes to return to the field before the end of 2011. "My aim is to come back and play one or two games at the end of the year. I don't mind if it's for the Roosters or Newtown. I haven't played for a long time, so it won't bother me."
It would be nice to think that Cherro could be back before his expected return date and add some depth to our side come finals time. Naturally just how much ahead of time he returns and the impact on the salary cap would play a part in this.
