  • Will we do a dullbogs in 2011?

Will we go crap in 2011,

What made the dogs go so crap a year after they were a top 4 side?

What controls are there in place to ensure this does not happen?

Carney / Pearce SKD running wild and Smith formulating the gameplan will ensure another finals series

The fact that our key players aren't aging alone is enough to ensure this.

        They bought that whole team.

We have made JrJr, SKD, Perrett, Mini, Kennedy etc etc and like Rooster_6 said we are a very young side. We are like the current New England Patriots, we are young, yet kicking ass and we have a side of the future.

Unlikely, the Bulldogs had a very good draw in 2009.Pulled a few teams pants down. Played top teams during SOO period. Kimmorley plays good in the first year at a new club, he then becomes the selfish player.
Im sure at some stage of the year we will hit a flat spot.

Now theres a team I like. The righ colours and they started really peaking when the Roosters did in the early 2000s.
I have been following them since 85.

Bill Belichick is an amazing coach. His mastery of the game and his team is amazing.

There is no way we are like the Patriots, they have won 3 championships since 2000, we have only won 1 championship. Belichick is like Bennett, very cold, stone faced man and very arrogant. The 3 championships they have won will always be in question as they were caught and fined by the NFL for cheating 2 years ago. The incident was called 'Spygate'. Also, his previous assistants have moved on to other teams and they have also been caught cheating and ultimately fined. Our Roosters, Smithy and the boys do not operate like them.

                  Bullshit,
they were fined for doing something all the other NFL teams do and made a scapegoat to appease the teams that could not win diddly squat.
Bill Belichick is only arrogant when asked questions by idiots. He has a plan and a vision. IF you don't like it you leave simple.
Probably more like Bennet than Smith, but leaves Bennett for dead as a coach

Kingbilly, I understand your passion for your team, but no other teams got caught filming opposing teams practise sessions and using special microphones and lip readers to catch other teams plays, to which Belichick admitted to and accepted the fines. If you believe all teams are doing this, this does not make it acceptable. Seems like you think cheating is ok. It especially means Belichick cannot be that good if he had to resort to these measures. You say he has a plan and vision, doesn't every manager, owner, player and coach? As for arrogance, 2 weeks before super bowl 42 he stated that his team already won the super bowl and the actual game was a formality and they would have a perfect season. He didn't have to state this. He also assisted in the writing of the book called "The Perfect Season" 2 weeks before they even played the super bowl? Then I am sure you remember they blew it in the last 2 minutes, so much for the book. Where are you located Kingbilly? Rhode Island? Massachusetts? New Hampshire? Your team looks real good this year but you still need another 3 championships to equal my team, lol. NRL teams cannot be compared to the NFL teams, two completely different sports from different countries. For other people that may read this thread, for the record, our NRL is a lot more tougher and harder than the NFL by a mile and thats a fact, that should make you all proud!

Back on topic, the Roosters might not go as well in 2011 if they are as cruelled by injuries as Canterbury-Bankstown were throughout 2010.

What injuries? They lost a mediocre 5/8 for half the season.

They underachieved this year I have not doubts about that their roster is a lot better than what they finished but it wasn't injuries that were to blame.

NRL are changing the speed of the play the ball yet again. 2010 was a touch-footy season similar to 2005. It will be slowed down in 2011 much like it was in 2006.

Don't forget what happened to Tigers and Cowboys in 2006.

At various stages of the season they were without the following players for varying lengths of time:

                            Ben Roberts
                            David Stagg
                            Steve Turner
                            Josh Morris
                            Dene Halatau
                            Ben Hannant
                            Shane Neumann
                            Corey Payne
                            Tim Winitana
                            Joel Romelo
                            Jake Foster

... and others. There were rounds where they were severely depleted and it seemed to me they just didn't have any consistency in their roster throughout the year. I feel certain CBB supporters would feel that injury cruelled their season. With any luck next year injury-wise, they and most teams of course, will improve.

TheLoneRooster i don't think the dogs will need much luck next year to make the top 4 as they have gone back to their salary cap cheating days of 2002 with all the players they have bought for next year, they have bought a top 4 spot.
