At various stages of the season they were without the following players for varying lengths of time:
Ben Roberts
David Stagg
Steve Turner
Josh Morris
Dene Halatau
Ben Hannant
Shane Neumann
Corey Payne
Tim Winitana
Joel Romelo
Jake Foster
... and others. There were rounds where they were severely depleted and it seemed to me they just didn't have any consistency in their roster throughout the year. I feel certain CBB supporters would feel that injury cruelled their season. With any luck next year injury-wise, they and most teams of course, will improve.
Seriously dude? That's a massively uninformed post, how many games did Stagg, Morris & Turner miss put together... I doubt it'd even be half a season between the three of them.
Now theres a team I like. The righ colours and they started really peaking when the Roosters did in the early 2000s.
I have been following them since 85.
Bill Belichick is an amazing coach. His mastery of the game and his team is amazing.
Kingbilly, I understand your passion for your team, but no other teams got caught filming opposing teams practise sessions and using special microphones and lip readers to catch other teams plays, to which Belichick admitted to and accepted the fines. If you believe all teams are doing this, this does not make it acceptable. Seems like you think cheating is ok. It especially means Belichick cannot be that good if he had to resort to these measures. You say he has a plan and vision, doesn't every manager, owner, player and coach? As for arrogance, 2 weeks before super bowl 42 he stated that his team already won the super bowl and the actual game was a formality and they would have a perfect season. He didn't have to state this. He also assisted in the writing of the book called "The Perfect Season" 2 weeks before they even played the super bowl? Then I am sure you remember they blew it in the last 2 minutes, so much for the book. Where are you located Kingbilly? Rhode Island? Massachusetts? New Hampshire? Your team looks real good this year but you still need another 3 championships to equal my team, lol. NRL teams cannot be compared to the NFL teams, two completely different sports from different countries. For other people that may read this thread, for the record, our NRL is a lot more tougher and harder than the NFL by a mile and thats a fact, that should make you all proud!
I likened our seasons. And I would love to live in New Hampshire, I am guessing you're a Steelers and Ben Cheeseburger fan?
The seasons are very similar, we both have young inexperienced teams yet our attack is scintillating. Both defences left a lot to be desired at the start of the season, yet is growing stronger with each performance.

I agree with you very different games. But I appreciate them for what each of them is.
If the filming and lip reading is not going all with everyone, why do all the coachs hold up their play charts over their mouths when issuing instructions ?
But I do agree what they got caught doing was wrong, just find it amusing how alot of people came out saying how terrible it was. I guess its a bit like breaking the salary cap, everyone is doing it, but everyone condemns it.
I am in Randwick btw, and supported the Pats through some pretty ordinary years.
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

RoostarPrincess and Kingbilly, good points, IMO the Super bowl will be played between the Patriots and Saints, hey but anything can happen. For the record I was born and bred in Bondi but have been marooned over here in the US for nearly 10yrs. FYI, I have a great buddy that keeps in contact with the roosters team, management and coach Smithy. I sent a DVD of the Miami Dolphins perfect season 1972 super bowl win to my mate to pass on to Smithy, which he did before the start of last season. My mate reckons the DVD must of done something for Smithy and the boys because of such a great season. Who knows if it did?! I would like to think so, very inspirational and motivational stuff. Back on topic, So, to avoid us ending up like the doggies and eels (GF hang-over) I have sent another DVD to my mate to pass to Smithy. No offense Kingbilly, I sent Super Bowl 42, great story and amazing season, excellent motivator. Well, anything is worth a shot.
Anything less than top 2 will be disappointing to me. More than anything I want a flogging of the Dragons
Big call, the Origin period is looking tough.....Stuart is a massive fan of both Carney and Pearce so if they are playing ok you can be assured they will selected. We are also still a very young side, young sides are prone to being awesome one week......ordinary the next. I'll take anywhere in the top 6

Hell I'm not greedy. I'll take anywhere in the top eight as long as we flog Souths.

Seriously dude did you actually read the first sentence?
Just for your benefit I'll reprise it here ...
"At various stages of the season they were without the following players for varying lengths of time."
I have emphasised two words in my sentence that I believed would have conveyed some meaning to the intelligent reader. Remember, I'm no expert on the CBBs or their injuries throughout season 2010 and never said I was so if my post appears "massively uninformed" to you, I don't give a rat's arse, it's my impression of their season and you're entitled to your own. Ordinarily I'd tell someone who responded to me as you have to get farked but I'll make an exception for you ...

I agree with the lone rooster... the dogs were always missing players most weeks... its just one of those things that can happen... although i think they over achieved in 2009...
I just want to see us beat the Dragons and Wabbits this year

You can say that about any club though, I'm just arguing against it god forbid on a forum something like that would ever happen
Josh Morris missed 1 games all season
David Stagg missed 2 games all season
Steve Turner missed 3 games all season
If that's the criteria you need then our list involves;
Maybe you're one of the believers that think our whole seasons was based on luck rather than having a good squad not just a good top 17 and good junior development.
The Bulldogs didn't have any major injuries (At least half the season) in 2010 to key players, that alone should mean they are void of any excuse linking to injuries. Bulldogs lacked in their 2010 recruitment/retention and their development of their youngsters. That's where they fell down.

Fargit I'd composed a long reply and lost it all. In a nutshell because I can't be bothered typing it again:
- Roosters success had very little to do with luck (that belonged to the merge scum stain)
- I'm not comparing Roosters and CBBs injuries - you are, I didn't
- I'm not saying the injuries were unique to CBB - they aren't
- I didn't say their injuries were the sole reason for their relative lack of performance
- I'm a Roosters supporter first and foremost and only have an impression of the CBBs injuries because I'm almost totally surrounded by CBB supporters
Pearce still shits me
Brian Smith is a patsy school teacher
and SKD still cant pass
The only comment you made that is worthy of a response is the one about Carney and unfortunately you may be right about that given how influential he was in winning many games this year.
