He is deffinately more talented than Pearce but isn't as consistent as him. If Mullo could play consistent football he would be one of the best but unfortunately he only really explodes maybe 6 or 7 games a year.

When Gidley was in the 7 jersey just feeding Mullen the ball the Knights we're unbeatable, he was awesome when the pressure was off, very similar to Pearce actually.

A lot of Knights supporters I have met rate Mullen very highly. I really haven't watched him closely enough to give a fair judgement. You Knights supporters pay closer attention so he must be showing you something. Still I wouldn't trade either of our halves for anyone else in the game.

I rate Mullen highly. So much so that i wanted a Mullins/Gidley scrumbase for this years Origin series. Jarred's long passing game is one of the best.
The NSW selectors stalled his career IMO. Like many others, they selected him, gave him limited games to show his worth and then chose someone else on the carousel.

He is one of those halves that dosen't cope with pressure of directing a team, much better with an experienced half along side him, e.g Gidley/Johns.
He is NSW's 2nd best 5/8 easily, I would go as far to say his kicking game is miraculious, those 40/20's he nails and for anyone saw the bannana kicks he done agaainst Brisbane and the Chokers for Vuna, were perfect.

His long passing game is very good, especially the cut out going left to right for Uate !

I wouldn't mind seeing Mullen/Pearce next year if Carney isn't there, them to would carve with Pearce's directing and kicking and Mullens running and Passing.

When he did get a go for Origin he performed very well in his only opportunity but got injured the week after the game and it set him right back. I think he was halfback and Braith 5/8th that game aswell, they combined well from memory.

Carney is a very good 5/8th and rightfully deserves the 5/8th for Aussie when the bald headed guy retires but to say Mullen dosent rate? thats a bit idiotic.

The only thing Pearce has got over him is consistency and the fact that he has a lot of other good play makers around him to take pressure off. Mullen is stuck with a rookie coach and Rogers along side of him most of the time, when he was with Gidley in the halves he shone!

it's apparent that Pearce is the best defensive #7 in the game......ever according to coach Smith.
But i agree with you in terms of attack & playmaking. I really enjoy watching Mullen with ball in hand. Mitchell is still young and developing nicely.
