Agreed with T.O.K we are more then capable of beating ANY team including St George and Manly we just got to work for each other and try and control feild position limit there oppurtunites in our half and know when to give the big fellas a rest work for repeat sets and not make silly errors in our half
    We are the Fonk

I am sorry that I can not see so many positives out of losing to farking St.George again..

Everyone seems happy with the loss..They farking beat us all the time..

I coach a girls soccer team and we played the run-away minor premiers on sunday also...We smashed them, and I can tell you, that puts us in a better position to beat them in the finals than if we had lost to them again...

I guess if we had of been beaten by them again, I would be trotting out the same nonesense that has been trotted out here...

We lost again to St.Geoge and it was farked...end of story...

it wasn't that farked at all

they are the yardstick of the comp, and Sunday's match with all the leadup etc was like a semi

there will have been plenty of lessons learned by Smith and the players

if we were to meet them in the semis, our chances of beating them will be better than they were on Sunday

I've put half a house on the drags choking. Safest bet I have ever made.

              Yep..

But our side is younger & on an upwards learning curve..

Our young kids would've learnt that much from the loss...Knowledge that will be invaluable come Sept (& hopefully the 1st Sunday in Oct)..

Because I am sick of St.George giving us the lesson...

                  Me too..

But which side do you think has the most improvement from Sunday?..

And to think we could've fluked a win..

what we learnt on Sunday is that we are not ready to win the comp this year, it has been a dramatic turnaround from the club but plain and simple we don't have the experience/patience/composure yet to win 4 finals matches in a row, the likes of St Merge,Manly, and even Titans will grind us down over 80 minutes at an intensity we are not able to maintain yet.

however far we get this year is just a bonus it is 2011-2012 that is a more realistic goal for premiership glory.

I think you are overrating the opposition a little there fletch......Manly and the Titans are just as inconsistent as any other contender and Saints attack can be limited to a try or two a game if you don't drop the ball in your own half. (like we did far too many times)

I can't agree with that. I agree it sucked to lose to those pricks but if they are the benchmark we aren't that far off them. I didn't know if we were good enough 3 weeks ago, I'm more confident now. Our footy is good enough to win.

I also don't believe that you have to lose one to win one, that is rubbish. The history of the game shows that young inexperienced teams can win premierships. Knights 97, Storm 99, Panthers 03 and the Tigers 05 are just recent examples.

I agree that we will be better placed next year but who's to say that Souffs, Brisbane (with Inglis) or Storm won't be better than us?

We have a great chance this year, I hope we don't waste it.

Hear, hear PtB. I am totally over the Roosters being beaten by the merge scum.

I don't know if you have been watching the same Manly and Titans teams as I have. I like our chances against all teams. The Merge are the ones looking the goods, and if we fail in the finals we have over achived as it is.

One thing I'm not happy about from the loss is the way the Roosters backed off in defence and didn't meet the merge scum at or close to the ad line which is what the seemingly off-side all the time drag queens were doing. I trust the Roosters won't let that happen again if they get the opportunity to meet the st inbreds again this year.
