The important thing for any sports team is to work through a season on a series of peaks and troughs to ultimately hit a maximum peak come Grand Final time. We don't necessarily need a loss but we will have a drop off in form at some point, hopefully before the finals (or perhaps we are coming out of a defensive form slump). We have seen this recently with the Tigers and Titans. Oddly enough, I think Bennett is giving the Dragons a chance to "choke" early so they can recover by the finals, whether or not this will happen however, remains to be seen.

Would you want a loss before the finals?

I think St George are desperate to regain an aura of invincibility. It was interesting to hear them being interviewed at Sydney airport - the players were basically playing the line "Yeah, we've lost a couple of games, but that was only because we were so far ahead we decided to try a few different things that didn't work out"

The old sayings come to mind.......you cant win em all, and you learn more form a loss than from a win, so either way I dont think it matters.
We have the ability to beat any team in this comp if we play any where near our potential, and we can lose to any team if we dont.
The Roosters have a great blend of youth and enthusiasm, the most talented 6 and 7 in the comp, big mobile forwards and plenty of speed out wide.
We should win more than we lose, and if we get to the GF we can win it.
St George and the Drongos are the biggest threats, but we can beat either of them on our day.
I think we will purge the merge this weekend.

Chook.
I'd rather see us smash the merge than lose to them again. We play the Sharks the following Friday. Would'nt mind Smith resting players for that game who are carrying niggling injuries, even if we risk a loss. Then let the assault resume the following week

What the hell! Are you blokes kidding me?? It is never good to have a loss at the best of times, but to suggest we need to have one now that we a re on a role is absolutely ridiculous. It would wash away any momentum we have, not to mention would decrease the euphoria associated with the club at present.
The last team I want to lose to is the ****ing St Merge Choke.
In my opinion, we will hold the Dragqueens scoreless.
Pick the score; 30-0.

Gee this place is a funny, funny place. 5 on the trot, and now most don't want another loss this year. Oh how a month is a long time in footy.
I couldn't handle a loss to sharks or cowgirls again and I don't think a loss this weekend would harm us all that much but god damn I hate merge. Obviously you don't want to lose any but I'd handle a loss to Manly or even the Titans just fine on the run home.
Provided we flog the rest.

Hard to say - a top four finish followed by a strong finals campaign could see them get a week off before the grand final qualifier - Hmmmmm, if not a loss then maybe resting some of our key players (carney, myles, ryles, anasta, friend and mini) for one game prior to the playoffs.

Who would have predicted we would be looking for a loss, or the rest players? What a turn around.
