  • Would you want a loss before the finals?

    If so when?

I say no. Confidence is a fragile thing, you only have to look at the world financial markets to see that.

This is a young, fit team who are loving their football. This Sunday could well be the time when we select overdrive and blow this farking mediocre competition apart. JT is spot on, we need to strike while the iron is hot...and we are smoking at the moment!

    Go East!!

    Chook.

Might be a good idea to lose one to the refs so the boys would be pumped for the finals. Having said that, I would rather never lose to anyone

Won't be the worst thing to happen, as long as it's not a flogging.

When I think of teams of the past, that were on fire and long winning streaks, I think of Parramatta in 2001, only to fall on the big day.

I won't mention who the coach was.

I don't want us to lose a game, but if we were to lose one I hope it is this weekend to put the focus back on the Saints and Broncos.

No. Now that we've won 5 in a row, I've decided I don't to lose again. Ever.

What he said. As much as I hate losing to the stmerge if they keep it by just a few points I won't mind ...

Am happy to agree with you this time. Is there room on your wagon?

Good point. But I'd cop a $5500 dollar fine as I wound't be able to stop myself jumping the fence and bitch-slapping Soward as he pumped his chest.

If we have to lose a game, I don't want it to be Sunday.

We have a wonderful tradition of bringing teams back into form. I think the only time we did it this year was v the Bulldogs when we lost by a ton or near it. St Drags are on a slump so who knows. I for one want to win them all, especially this weekend. Call me greedy but I have waited for 8 years.

Only if it is guaranteed to be our last loss, otherwise fight to the bitter end every week.

This week especially, it's a 4 point match with the Steelers being 2 points up on us. Win this and a top 2 spot may beckon.
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
                      Easts to win

Obviously you never want to lose but it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Just this week I think it is important to win. If we beat the Steelers this week it would be big for us.

This is the one I desperately want to win. The whole NRL community is going to be watching and I'm not going to let those little shits get the privilege of rolling us when our form is this HOT atm. I want nothing more than getting one over Scummy St Merge.

I'm so pleased and happy about our team and its form that I can't even contemplate losing to anyone. 5 years worth of suffering and false hope mean I'm never going to admit to wanting to experience another loss. Momentum, belief, confidence - they're fragile things. One bad loss and that euphoria can all disappear.

If we do lose (and I imagine that at some point between here and the finals that we will eventually drop one) I hope it's a loss where we gave everything we could, but were beaten by a better team on the day. Those losses are the ones that provide motivation for improvement.

I am not on the wagon just yet. Perrett and SKD will be under siege this weekend, if they can defend stoutly then I will join you on the wagon

"Due for a loss" and "the loss we had to have"...that shit is pure myth. If we are the best team in this shithouse comp we can and should win every game for the next 9 weeks.
