Last few games I've watched of Souths...they threw "537" forward passes that were not pulled up.
Can we beat Souths?
Just depends...
A 5-0 penalty count in the first half to Souths, and a 5-1 penalty count at the end , or any other 'rubbish' from you know who, we have no chance much of winning.

Sure, Linnett could easily play on the wing...and Graham in the centres.
That would work.

What else is new?
Correct.
Doesn't seem fair does it?
About time the NRL started having 'fair' games, eh?
I don't mind losing if the matches are 'fair'..."Beaten by a better team on the day"
...but I sure as hell mind when the matches are not 'fair'.

We need the big 4 plus Jake up front at the start to smash em into next week, then bring on the 'runners'.
I learnt that 'from' the master, Jack Gibson.
He used to play the BEAR, big Bob O'Reilly and other 'giants' in the first half to charge up the field and 'knock' all the tacklers into dreamland and soften them up...then bring on the mobile and fast second rowers in the second half to 'run up' the scoreboard.
Onya Jack, I have the 74 and 75 teams on my wall.
He did exactly the same at Parramatta.
And he managed to do all this with only 2 reserves and no interchange....he really was the master coach!

As I said on the Wall, I am extremely happy and SURPRISED about the game today. I cannot believe we won that game.
We had...
1. Everything against us... penalties, decisions (aka the one where SKD took Croker over the line and they somehow got the ball back)
2. We had no field position
3. We defended our line for at least three quarters of the match.

Fantastic effort.
We had no right to win that game... possession, territory, the referees... everything was against us.
If Brian Smith has done anything, it's give these boys a bit of heart. Really gutsy stuff. Watching Friend, Ryles and Masoe, as well as others, work tirelessly was a privilege, after last year's garbage.
Carney was awesome, really stepped up to fill the gap Pearce leaves when he doesn't play. Mitchell Aubusson must be kept at the club. He's a thoroughbred footballer. Absolutely terrific today. SKD was strong. Anasta made some mistakes, but provided a cool head when needed. Obviously the crap will continue to come his way, but those two kicks towards the end were extremely valuable. Minichiello was solid. Perrett had a great game. Friend and Ryles were good, and Masoe looked likely.
My only disappointment was JWH. A load of potential, but has been unable to stamp his mark on any game this season. Needs to run wider, like Symonds.
The heart was the best part. Deadset, 100% awe-inspiring. That was a real Roosters' effort.
