Perrett has his weaknesses but he generally brings a lot to the team.

I will not judge any player defending outside the dumbest footballer in the history of the game.

But his defence has not changed even when he was defending nowhere near SKD. Perrett is not even speed bump worthy as a defender.

I call bullshit. Perrett has been a useless defender as long as I can remember. Whenever he gets targeted we leak points. He never seems to be in position, and more often than not his centre is. Perrett's defence is far worse than SKDs.

Fair call.

If a team were going for a match winning play and our wingers were SKD and Perrett i would hope they attacked on SKD wing because SKD would go for the intercept and at least give us some sort of chance but perrett would just come into no mans land (having no faith in his centre) leaving the winger open.

The thing that annoys me with Perrett is that he isn't a youngster anymore. He made is debut in 2004 he has played 100 1st grade games but he is still making the same fundamental errors he did back then. Rushing in off his wing, missed tackles and poor hands he made Bani look like Inglis.

I don't think it's a case of him playing any better for NZ. IMO he is just an ordinary player.

He should be one of our most experienced players but he plays like he is just new to the team. Come on sam, give us something new sam other than dummy half runs...develop something mr stuff up play it again sam.
