    **** Finch.

Why don't we just start an appreciation thread for every player who's ever played in the RWB and their dog?

    Time to move on.

Shame we didnt teach him that earlier, I really appreciate one thing about him, and thats that hes GOORNE from our team.

Finch fits in well at Melbourne.

Anasta might go ok at Melbourne too.

        But we're not Melbourne

Because of that, if we want to compete with teams like Melbourne, we need our playmaker(s) to do more, because we don't have the support players and the brilliant backline that Melbourne do.

In terms of ability, Finch and Anasta are about equal. Both can impress in a very good side, but neither will help a side where they have to be "the man"

But I'll never forget Warren Ryan's comment on radio at the end of the 2004 GF, or whenever it was against Canterbury.

        "Finch's game was appalling"

The Storm's scoring average has dropped significantly since Finch arrived. Last year Storm were lucky they had an awesome defensive outfit and enough superstars in their team to get them over the line. With their attack falling further to pieces as they increase their dependency on Finch, I can't see it happening this year.

BTW, Storm are the third worst attacking team this year. That is despite a star-studded lineup.

I hate Finch, but their for and against probably suffered because they were a worse side overall.

Their 'for' suffered, but so did their 'against' - the whole team went backwards, they won 3 less games then they did in 2008. I agree that Finch didn't help their attack but the team in general found it a bit tougher in 2009.

I don't think all of that can be attributed to Finch; they can afford to carry him because they have genuine playmakers at 7 and 9 as well as the talent of Inglis and Slater.

I agree they can afford to carry him off the back of awesome defence and superstars in the team. But as you saw last night with an injury to Inglis, Slater was unable to do it all himself, and even against tiring chokers they struggled to score.

Your forgetting that Bellamy last year sent a clear signal as to how he rated Anasta. As coach of the Blues Anasta was not included in the preliminary squad. He had a bit of a sook and i remember on the footy show him and Fatty were amazed he was not considered in the top 40 ? in NSW. This is while Fitler was trying to punt him from 5/8.
Bellamy like most NRL afilliates thinks he is the most overrated player in the game. .......and yet he has Finch in his beloved storm

what does that tell u about Bwaif the next freddy anastacia

What is this, the flush out Tom Valance / bob dylan new alas thread?

So what if funch fluked a premiership, Sean Rugger even won one. Life is full of mysteries.

                        FOFF for life.

Might be his "seccond" favourite team.
