Actually last season Melbourne were not travelling too well before Finch got there Inglis whilst going ok at 5/8 was not setting the world on fire and there was too much pressure on Cronk.Finch changed this and Melbourne were and are a better side for having Brett Finch in the team and if you cannot see that then you are a blind man .

Personally I feel he did a little more than catch and pass.He took pressure off Cronk by being able play 1st reciever on the other side of the ruck.Thus giving them options on both sides something they appeared to lack in the early part of last year. Along with Cronk Slater and Smith he is also was/is a pivotal player in many of there set moves.
