    JWH is the enforcer.
    Not in 2014.

He went from best in the game to outside top ten in my book.

We desperately need 2013 JWH back this season.

Because he has something worthwhile to contribute TCB and I for one am glad JT is still here.

How about we all focus on what the lot of us have in common - EASTS.

Banning the shoulder charge and having more responsibility in cleaning mopping up in defence led to Sonny being more of a worker in his second stint than an aggressive outright enforcer.

But he still had it in 2013, Willie Mason was on the receiving end of one. I also remember the bro' going feral against the Sharks in Tandem with JWH but they pretty much cost us that game as giving away several penalties with their kamikaze approach in that game, giving Sharks a ton of possession in da first half.

In 2014 the hunger just wasn't the same.

Agree on all points. It seemed to me that a significant percentage of the team were satisfied resting on 2013 laurels which led to what happened against the pennies, the narrow win against the cows and the loss against the pre-ordained winners.

Like your mate Jack it's tragic that your Chookpen experience is now boiling down to following me around and having pathetic pot shots.

              What a lightweight you are.

How about you contribute something useful instead?

As Robbo said, last season we were all going in the same direction and this season he had to deal with different personalities.

It's a massive wasted opportunity and to make it even worse we handed it to Souffs.

What does Trent mean by this? A bit confused because we didn't have many new recruits in 2014. I'm interpreting his comment as some players getting too big headed & up themselves after winning a premiership.

No doubt JWH wasn't as good as 2013. Was this because of his lack off season/big 2013, was it because O'Donnell actually took that much heat off him and that void wasn't filled this year or was he that far out of form?

For the record I don't think he was as bad as made out to be. When ever he was on the field we were much better for it- (penalties aside) whenever he was off it we went to sh*t. A lot of our boys didn't find 'what they had in 2013' and I don't think he was the 'worst of the bunch'.

What I do know is he is 25. His age, along with Pearces, is often forgotten I think at times when you look at their performances. I think JWH is ready for a new role in 2015 and hopefully we see him develop some new aspects to his game like most 25 year olds do-and that starts with Robbo directly.

Being targeted by the refs doesn't help either.

His motivation after winning a comp, was just not there this year.
                      All comes down to attitude.
I'm not saying he didn't try and give his all. He just wasn't motivated cause he already got his premiership.
Next year should see a new attitude and rejuvenation from him. This could also be his last chance of winning a comp for a while cause he may end up playing for a rubbish side when his Rooster contract expires.

I think Madrooster hit the nail on the head. The loss of O'Donnell was a huge contributor to JWH season. I think if Napa can take some heat of JWH aggression and intimidation wise we may see the 2013 JWH next year.

I took it as confirmation of the factions I had heard about.

Indeed, Napa was definitely improving at the back end of the season and if he can keep that going into next year it will help us tremendously.

With Evans getting a full time bench spot and Meehan playing a similar role to Evans this year, the aggression we lacked this year should return in the next.

Did sonny get along with most of the team? I'm hoping he didn't have too many issues with anyone as we all want him to come back one day. He did publically state he loved the roosters and would only play for them if he came back to league.

The major issue with napa is his stupid moments, such as two shoulder charges in the round 26 match against Souths. His suspension impacted us greatly against Penrith as we lacked that one extra forward through the middle. I also hope he can maintain his improved go forward going into next season.
