Why though? Sponsors do it to get some sort of exposure and financial return. What do the chookpen members get? A fair proportion sit there because it is cheaper.. If they wanted to spend an extra $100 a year to help the club, why not do it by buying a more expensive membership package. I really think when all is said and done, you would not find that many chookpen members wanting to stump up the extra cash.

Speaking of Samsung, maybe it's coincidence but my Samsung DVD recorder has started playing up now they are no longer Roosters sponsors.

A supporter supports regardless of how bad things are.

People need to realise that the next few seasons are going to be vital in Rugby League. There is no guarantee that any club will survive coming into an age of independant commissions, renegotiated tv deals and pokie taxes.

Club memberships may become the difference between your club surviving, merging or relocating.

If you are not a season ticket holder or member you have no right to call yourself a supporter. Who are you supporting?

Just because someone does not become a member, they can support a team all they like, they may buy caps, or posters, or scarves.......or may not buy anything at all....but love the game and the team.....

I am and always will be both, but to put shit on someone because they arent a member is not right.....
