as the club hasnt yet announced a sponser, i had a minor thought? dangerous at times? if everyone in the chookpen were to put in $100 we could become a sponser? wed have sponsorship rights to things as well as some incredable publicity for the club. we could be the chookpen club, sponsoring the mighty roosters? any thoughts?of course as a reult of this sponsorship wed expect some niceties from the club too!

we could pardon the pun, kill 2 birds with one stone here, 1. make an impact on the club, create some very positive publicity, 2 create the insiders fan club weve been considering for a few years?

I think you would be lucky to get $1000. What would that buy? A spot on the bum cheek of a player.

i've spoken to the sponsorship manager at the club about this at the end of last season, he is happy for the Chookpen (the stand, not the website) to sponsor a player for a game or two.

Your idea is a terrific one except for one little thing, *sorry*, we dont need little sponsorship dollars, we need a major sponsor and for that we are looking in the hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars.......
But on a smaller scale that is one of the better ideas you have had....

yeah the major sponsorship of the team is a little beyond the fans i think.

Perhaps Bouris' new apprentice love child "Morello" could hook up Hungry Jacks as our major sponsor ?

We need a serious backer that will pump in some serious money.

1k or 2k would be a waste of time.

The press would carve us up to shreds. Roosters can't find sponsor so a group of fans have chipped in $100 each to be the sponsor of the Roosters.

                          Would be a laughing stock.

I actually think it would do the exact opposite....

Why the hell would the press carve us up for a forward thinking initiative that actually got the fans involved at the ground level.....

I dont see anyone else coming up with any better ideas.......

                              Well I don't.
It will look like desperation and that the club is unable to get a sponsor for themselves.
All the fans need to do is buy memberships, go to games and buy merchandise.
