Right, just now on 2GB...a female 2GB reporter filed a report from the pub in question.

As far as I could gather [the tape recorder function on my radio is broken]...she said that she'd interviewed the man who's alleging he was assaulted, and that he said...para; That he was allegedly walking out of the pub and the group of which FPN was allegedly a part, was walking in. She said that the man said that [b]he [a Wests Tigers supporter] made a derogatory comment to the group about the Roosters football team[or club]..the comment including a word that she could not report on air.
She said that the man said in his opinion it was just 'friendly banter', and that it was then he was punched in the face, breaking his nose.
If FPN is charged by the cops, and what the reporter has alleged is all true, the Sydney Roosters club should sue the man for defamation and the Roosters footy team should lodge a defamation class action against the man?

Would have been funny if FPN turned around and told the bloke he was signing with Wests Tigers.

Seriously though, what a w@nker.

Whilst I'm all for the hard line NSW is currently taking on alcohol fueled violence, that doesn't give douchebags like this bloke a free license to be absolute assholes.

You know he will be the type that milks it for all it's worth too.

I say good on his mate for standing up for his friend. There are worse things in this world then plonking the nose of a loud mouth who is picking on your mate.

He should've stood up for his friend...verbally...or simply ignored the bloke and kept walking.
He allegedly didn't.
Allegedly escalated the incident from verbal to physical, and allegedly punched the bloke, and was yesterday arrested and tossed in jail, "remanded in custody"..."to appear before a magistrate on Monday".
FPN is alleged to have pushed the injured man, then the accused allegedly punched him.

Not the best time to be punching people..."one punch can kill"...and there are new laws.

Hopefully he'll make bail, and after his trial won't end up in prison...where horrible things allegedly happen to the inmates at the hands of other inmates etc.
Maybe Roosters players, Club and fans could make donations to get him the very best legal team, seeing as how he was defending the Roosters team/Club.
