FMD Souffs are getting a huge advantage from the refs
    How's this one:

Over the last two years, Souths have received 54 more penalties than they have given away. Roosters have given away 121 penalties more than they've received.

    So that's a 175 penalty leg-up for the Vermin.

Expressed as free metres (@30 metres per penalty), the referees have give Souths a 5.25 KILOMETRE advantage in a game where field position is now everything.

If they lose tomorrow (and I don't think they will) they should be ashamed of themselves.

I found it astonishing that William's head high tackle wasn't given a week or two and equally both Morris and Jackson's chicken wing tackles were overlooked, especially after guerra was given a week for the exact same tackle. I don't think the NRL are favoring Souths otherwise Luke would of been cleared for the GF, after all he is their key player. But I do think Greenberg has an influence over the MRC when it comes to his doggies. Did you see the picture of Greenberg hugging the Dogs players and Officials after the Penrith games, if that's not a conflict of interest than nothing is.
Williams bounced up off the ball so i can't really blame him for that one, he should have got something for the shoulder charge on seizer though. I don't think Morris did anything wrong he just held onto his arm, he didn't try to force it into a awkward position.

        Astonishing, isn't it?

Our boys deserve a lot of credit for winning more games than Souffs this year despite receiving 79 fewer penalties.

        A great achievement.

Don't forget the contribution our forwards made in handing the last game to them

Yeah but we do it intentionally because it gives us an advantage...

Our forwards were stuffed in the second half, it's hard to blame them for the loss.

If you think the referees had nothing to do with that result, you're kidding yourself.

6 penalties to 1 in the second half - has there been a more lop-sided count in the second half of any game this year?

Sterlo is one of the few objective & impartial commentators on the game, this criticism is misplaced.

Given he doesn't rant and rave, but as a commentator he is brain dead. I remember when he started commentating, he was great very knowledgeable and well worth listening to. Then Ch9 lobotomised him as he was showing up the other idiots too much. No he just sprouts the company line and rarely says anything except the painfully obvious

I will never admit they won that game fairly with how much they got away with. I would say it was practically 6-0 penalty count in the 2nd half because the one we got was a nothing penalty 5 meters out from our own line.

Brilliant analysis Billy - it's obviously obvious to some but not many. The company line very apt and I go as far to say the jury is out on his boss Gyngell

An amazing stat Spirit. I hope things normalise next year but I doubt it will.

And Tommy, you're right when you say that the Roosters deserve a lot of credit for winning more games than the vermin scum this year despite receiving 79 fewer penalties.
