    I thought we did too.

This kid is going to be a gun.

N.B I've been super impressed with Young Horrie's passing game - bullet like and accurate. It's no coincidence that we kick up a gear when he gets onto the field.
Mate IMO his passing game hasn't been anywhere near 1st grade standard. Too many balls have hit the deck or been passed behind players killing momentum. Especially when he's been on for a longer stretch, mentally he starts to lose his rhythm. Using up that nervous energy of youth will do that at times.

Not bagging The Kid, it's not his best position and he isn't ready for 1st grade semis as yet.

What has impressed me is his defence and his size, he has really put his body into it IMO.

IMO he has a real future, it's just too early ATM.

Maubs has done very well without Friendly, considering how rare injury comes to Friendly. In fact I believe that's our first loss without our 9, and that was by only a point under some very dubious reffing. That from a bloke who I believe had never played in the nine jumper before.

We are blessed with the best utility in the game. Did you notice when AV went off Maubs hit a few holes that were very damaging to the opposition. Can't wait to see him get back to that style of game.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

really looking forward to the attacking evolution of our side in 2015, will be very interested how RTS gets integrated as fulltime fullback, Fergo on the right edge attack at either centre/wing, and Hastings as the bench utility with Maubs replacing SBW in the backrow.

        • My concern this week is the fatigue factor, some of our guys looked gassed near the end of the game last week and I worry about how they will recover for this weeks game.

Not mentioning if we win we have 2 more hard battles coming up, will these guys last the distance.

          • The same was said about Manly last year and then two weeks laster they were 18-8 up in the GF with 28min to go.

If we complete 1/7 to start the game again then we'll probably look gassed at the end.

But if we have an 80% completion rate we'll probably look like a well oiled runaway train.

Fatigue is a concern I noticed about 15 to go when play was down Penriths end where I was sitting a couple of our players looked absolutely out on their feet
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

It really is a worry and not something I have noticed with this current squad in the past, unless of course when we are getting beat down.

In saying that Tommy makes a good point in regards to Manly last year and our completion rate, here`s hoping.

                • Completion rates, penalty counts and we with a temporary bench, some players played big minutes. All were contributing factors for fatigue

I'm not so worried about that as I think the extra game will benefit us
However.....I think the Panthers are currently the fittest team in the Finals, and that allowed them to pull the miracle game at the death
If we meet them in the GF.....we need to wrap up the win well before full time.....

                      We completed 1/7 sets.

We had a 53% completion rate.

Therefore we ended up with 46% possession.

There is zero proof Penwiff are any fitter than Us or any team by those numbers.

What it indicates is if you don't respect the pill, especially in the semis against quality opposition, you will more than likely pay.

                      As we did.

Penwiff showed great composure and effort to stay in the game.

They made their own luck and copped a big dose of it in return.

But they won't want to have to rely on that luck factor again.

IMO if we play like that against The Cowplods or Souffs we will get hammered.

I don't see fitness as the issue.

                      Mental fatigue more so maybe.

                      • Soward has always been good at field goals, as soon as it was tied you just knew he would slot one over in his first attempt.
