Our ball control was dogshit.

No ball, no field position, the Storm played perfect football...

...and we won by 12.

Souths are another one of the teacher's pet teams.
It'll likely be a penalty-a-thon in their favour next week, from the start, same as Storm game.

We must stop giving away dumb penalties for 'hands on the ball' when opposition players are trying to play it.
Also, stop simply dropping the ball when playing it....and stop throwing wild passes where our players seem to have no idea what's happening and the ball goes to ground.

If we make as many mistakes against Souths as we did against the Storm we most likely will not win the game.

Well that was one of those victories. One of those victories that we had last year which pieced together our premiership.

Against a top side with the agenda in full force, so much possession in our half and we absorbed it all, built the wall and brought it home.

What great D. We won with only 46% of the ball. First time this season Melbourne have had 50%+ and lost.

We would be unbeatable if we had 50% plus ball every week

All the challenges to prepare us for finals were laid bare along with the typical ref stuff ups

Our 1%'s suffered under the conditions, we invited the Storm many times & many times we repelled them

The masters of pressure became the masters of frustration by the 75min mark

Our defense will win us the premiership, the grind was our teacher tonight

Pearce you beauty!, SBW threw himself at everything in defense especially with 10 to go.

Love the rain, the wind, the fans....& especially the win.

Prepare for back to back folks, we are a class act!

What a fantastic night out there. Great to here all our supporters in full voice. Made it sound like there was almost 40k out there not 14.

we could very well go back to back minor premiers also... i have been building more and more confidence in the last month...and after tonight i dont see anyone who will beat us..Melbourne were CLINICAL....there kicks were amazing and they built pressure like no other team can build...yet we weathered it and marched on home...i think we will demolish souffs next week.
