I think that apart from his offfield saga, his performance on the field this year has been exceptional. He's been running at the line and playing far more direct this year.I'm sure R6 can back me up on this but statistically this season, he would be in the top echelon of halfbacks in the game.Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Where was DCE when they had the big lead in the 2nd half??..
Pearce was busy setting up the try that got us back in the game..
How silly of me to think Pearce was contributing in the clutch moment, while DCE was running round in circles, panicking..
I notice you haven't defended your Foran being better than Pearce invthe GF, either..hmmnn..Comment of the year:

Reynolds A has improved, especially alongside Keary. In fact that reminds me of PearceOrf alongside a very good 5/8.

You know it makes sense.

Now with our halves showing form and our two best players coming back we are ready to get this thing done
Go Easts!!
Now to put it all together against top opposition over the next three weeks. That's where our halves will be judged.

His kicking last night was fantastic. But the people on here that still have doubt about his kicking game are justified in doing so. In my opinion its the weakest part of his game but last night was one of the strongest kicking games he has had. Lets see him do it a few more times.Embrace the Hate! JC

Mate if you can't handle a differing opinion without trolling a fellow poster day and night, you have no place moderating a "discussion" forum! In short mate, get over it and move on, your obsession with me is becoming unhealthy for you...
PS - as a side point, to put to bed the whole Stuart issues Rooster_6 (now that you've mentioned it) I'd like to say it's pretty sad what has happened to our former premiership winning coach Ricky Stuart's coaching career. Yep, it looks terminal now. I would love to have seen him have more success.
I've always said he's a great coach of a team full of class players. He could bring the winning edge out among a team of professionals. But he struggles with a team of young players or battlers. For the record, what happened to him in terms of Wayne Bennett and Easts, in my view, is a total disgrace.
The guy has an autistic child, and a couple of months before being sacked, had bought a brand new home in the eastern suburbs with all the facilities for a child with a disability. Then, after the Bennett thing, his life was turned upside down and had to sell that place and make another move. And since then it hasn't been the happiest of times for the poor bloke.
Even Uncle Nick said, "I would never have sacked Ricky Stuart if I didn't think we'd signed Bennett".
Stuart WAS discussed as a replacement for Smith by Easts Board members, and it was suggested in the press by a couple of journos who have good sources at Bondi Junction, that Stuart was in the frame.
This was around the same time I posted in here, maybe my only "crime" was using hyberbole. Apologies for that, sometimes a little hyperbole makes for interesting and eloquent reading. My bad for trying to be entertaining.
Also, truly sorry, even more sorry than Joe Hockey, for daring to share some inside info with me fellow Roosters fans. I thought you might like to know what I heard! The fact is, it didn't happen, they opted for Robbo, and what a good choice it turned out to be.
