Dominated tonight.. his kicking game was pin point, For the first time since vs Cronulla last season at home he took the game by the neck and carried us to the win.. This could be the turning point of the season and if mitchell plays like that all the other pieces will come together.

Great game by Pearce tonight, no doubt about it.

I'm really looking forward to Ray Stehr's imput on this thread, oh that's right we won & he's nowhere to be seen.

come on man, take your hat off... in that weather after halftime the team really needed someone to lead them into the right kind of game.. mitchell controlled it well and was the reason we carved them up..

As i said in another thread, the "negativity" of some on this form is unbelievable. Pearce could win the Clive Churchill medal and it still wouldn't be good enough for some.

Pearce had his best game of the season for us tonight. Having said that, he wasn't that great.

He's still too slow to be a first grade NRL halfback. Sure, he ran the ball about three times, but didn't make much of a dent.

The good thing about his performance was that he looked relatively switched on and his passing game was sharper than it has been all year.

The forwards and outside backs did their jobs sublimely well, especially in the second half clearly. Sam Moa had a blinder in my humble opinion.

Cordner and Guerra were the mainstays, as usual. Mini, RTS, Toups, Jennings and even poor old SKD had good games. And Maloney is finally hitting some form.

I seem to remember him playing well in last years GF (pass to Guerra for his try was sublime) but i guess some don't consider that a big game..

In that same game, would you say that Pearce was better than any of Maloney, Foran, or DCE?

Pearce a slow thinker who looks like a champion against weak teams which give him time to think. I don't ever expect Pearce to win a Churchill medal but I will be over the moon if he does :-)

Definitely outplayed Foran, & was better than DCE in the clutch moments..

Pearce is not the perfect half, but he plays to our system very well..

You seem to not like his play, but he is a GF winning half for our club, so some of you guys need to cut the kid a bit more slack..
