Roosters vs Tigers match discussion

First half roosters displayed lots of patience not trying to score on every play. Once again, there was a lot of spoiling tactics by our opponents in defence (coaches of teams playing us know the refs will not penalize them when they do this against us); lots of flops, a LOT of hands and leaning knees on the ball when our fellas tried to play it. Instead of getting frustrated, our guys just dealt with the slow down, didn't try to force the quick play the ball and avoided turning over possession.

They backed themselves to wear down their opponents. I know it's only the tigers but the patience and professionalism displayed will work just as well against top teams.

At last the penny has dropped for a lot of you, if we jag this win, it will be our last of the season, there is no way known, we can beat the warriors, melb or souths, on this form tonight, in fact we will get a good tickling up in all 3 games. Just too many dumb things happening in the team, terrible passing, dumb late passing in bad weather, RTS has some brain explosions, but we have been seeing it all season, Robbo has not aimed up this season, maybe its second year coaching syndrome, he will next year to atone , or its back to La France, and the snails, for the lad.

But remember Waynekerr bought the wrestle into the game. In fact Bellyache was his assistant when he was instructed by the head coach to find a wrestling coach for The Wankos.

This came up from memory when on the eve of a finals campaign, 2006 maybe???, Waynekerr was doing his usual pressure the Reffs thru the media accusing Bellyache of beginning Wrestlemania. Bellyaches response was what I wrote above and Waynekerr never responded, as he knew he couldn't.

Of course the damage was done and Waynekerr again came out with his agenda well and truly achieving it's goal.

IMO award low one on one tackles, penalise ANY wrestling or holding down, and STICK to the changes, the wrestling is out of the game in the matter of weeks. Simple solution, buckleys of happening though.
