I think Johnny is still stuck in the days of Jersey Flegg and Sandy Pearce.

Not quite but I hate commercialism. This is a sport not a dress up.

And to clarify I've been reading and collecting Marvel comics for over 35 years so I'm not down on Marvel.

Well said, and I agree, it's nonsense.

In fact, they very thought of Artie, Freddy, Dave Brown or Dally M wearing such an atrocity makes one feel sick to the stomach.

Our jerseys should be sacrosanct from this Super League style rubbish!

Great idea for the kids but the jersey from close up looks like crap

'Marvel Man' Pearce knocked the ball on in in-goal from the kick off.
He plays better in his Tricolours home jersey.

Hopefully those Superhero jerseys and weekend will never be seen again.

I wasn't a huge fan of this concept but have to say the two teams tonight with those striking red and blue contrasts looked fabulous on the field.

Pipe you're following the first club to put a sponsor on a jersey dude. We invented commercialism in our game.

                      Chook.

Kids loved it that counts all a bit of fun no harm done.

God some of you are f***ed in the head.

The jerseys are a one off and ours looked sensational. Literally saw hundreds being worn at the game last night and over 20k were sold between the 5 clubs, netting $3m between them.

Can't see a single thing wrong with it, and I consider myself a traditionalist.

I think they looked great. When I win the lottery, I'll buy one for my son and I

I thought it was a great promotion. That seems to be backed up by the amount of jerseys that were seen & sold.. My kids loved it & it was a major talking point at my sons footy game yesterday.. The kids all thought it was brilliant.. Even one of the kids who supported the dogs wanted one. So more mine it was a success & a great idea.
