They have had boardroom dramas for years. Hard to feel sorry for them though when you consider what they did to Norths.
Their main problem is that four players think they run the place - Stewarts, Watmough and Foran. Actually, to date they more or less have run the place with some input from Tooves.
This is a major power struggle that has been some time coming.
The players will probably win because Peter Peters is in love with the Stewarts and that means the majority Penn's are with them.
However, there is a movement to let the three troublemakers, incl Glenn Stewart, go (leaving Foran posted).
It really has been unacceptable how DCE has been treated by the other players. The hypocrite Watmough on almost $1m next year complaining about how they all took pay cuts to stay together and DCE won't. Trying to make him a scapegoat for all this bullshit is totally disgraceful.
I won't be surrpised if DCE leaves the place and it may even be a choice between him and them. If he does leave they will really hit the skids for the next few years at least.
So to answer the original question.
They will implode but I don't think it will affect their on-field performance this season.
And I would not be surprised at all if Stewart ends up at the Dogs.

Unfortunately the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles are like cockroaches and always survive the hardships they endure. They have been rather shambolic at the board room level for a number of years but coincidentally that was one of if not their most successful period of football ever. I think that the only way Manly could implode is if the players began to form factions within each other as we saw the Wests Tigers do a few years ago because from their outside looking in the playing group is very tight knit and held together and responds accordingly as one when adversity strikes the club.
If Des Hasler's departure could not break their team apart it would take something very significant to do so and maybe a key personality of the squad such as Brett "Snake" Stewart leaving could be the catalyst.

found it interesting that Foran came out today and confirmed there are quite a few unhappy players in the camp.
from the outside some of the pressure would be taken off if they just let Matai take up that ridiculous offer from the Warriors.
