I thought so too, my uncle is a priest, and my aunty is a nun, they told me about this. my mother in law says you can't have any dairy products on good friday along with no meat, our family only did the meat thing. People from different cultures have differing ways in the way they were brought up, so different interpretations.

Haha, true. I used to give up onions when I was little, because I hated them😊

But if chocolate is the one thing that you enjoy so much everyday, I dont see a problem with giving it up.

I gave up watching the Bold and the Beautiful one year for Lent. Then I realised I hadn't missed a thing.. You are right as it's all about making the personal sacrifice, not the actual chocolate thing. That doesn't work for me as I don't eat much of it anyway. This year I gave up hot chips. That's a hard sacrifice for me. We had some aunties who were nuns as well but sadly they are no longer with us. 2 of my friends at work are fasting for Ramadan and it's hard for them as they travel a long distance by train to get to work and one is a new mother, so it's very intense.

          Bold and the beautiful classic.

Ridge is not ridge anymore, looks like an overweight banker. Can't have a ridge that doesn't have the prominent jaw.

I actually don't mind the new guy. He doesn't mug for the camera and they've moved him on from the on again/off again/on again nonsense with the ageing slut Brooke.

The essence of the show is chiselled bodies, big jaws and long stares. The may ruin the show by using an actual actor now.

                Yes, I know it's a change. I do like that he's with Katie...which I hope will last.

The show has an annoying habit of putting two people together who just work with no drama and then break them up.

I gave up watching it in January 2011 after they brought Amber back and started regurgitating old story lines. I haven't missed it at all.

I record it most days for the wife, so by default I know them all and the storylines which do drag on for 6 months. Funny how you can get sucked in though!

Its good to know Hope will be around for another 20 years to follow in her mother's footsteps by being in love with two men at once.

How embarrassment, we may need to start a B&B thread, not that it's much unlike to when kegs, oracle and stacey get going😊

Haven't watched BatB for ages, but I agree with you lot. It was a cracker.

You can just not watch it for months and pick it back up in like 5 minutes.

I'm an unashamed fan. I watch it with my mother.

My wife and I toyed jokingly with the idea of giving our first child the name Lil' Eric.
