Ron Coote said to me during his playing days at Easts that there is no easy game no matter where a team sits on the ladder.
My only aspect of play i am not liking is we are too shallow in attack against teams with a quick line defence or that get away with being in the 10 metres and especially easy pickings with a slow play the ball when shallow.

Of course we want to see us playing like champions but sometimes you gotta be thankful we got the points and apart from the cowboys game up north, our losses were by few points. Somehow I feel we can turn it on when we need to.

a very ugly performance from our ethnic ref , I think he was still watching the soccer? certainly wasn't watching our game in the rfirst half? that was an ugly game but it gave us two points plus another 17 for and against

Perhaps when Cords and Guerra come back that will fix that up. They both run off a short ball really well.

Reminds me of the game against the Gold Coast last season before we smacked Souffs to get the MP.

Maybe they have an eye on the Manly game in a couple of weeks.

I am hoping they come out all guns blazing for that one.

I'm not sure the nil factor...mini might 'drop' another and let a try in for the 'haters'.

Well said. There is no doubt part of their mid-season strategy seems to be keeping some petrol in the tank for the games that really matter.

While I would have liked a couple more tries tonight, I was happy with the effort. The SFS surface was very slippery out there too, on a totally dry track Easts would have put on three or four more tries.

All in all - another valuable two points in the bank account.

Yes, the difference is that we won that game.

Look at everyone's draw and you will see that we should be Minor Premiers.

While you are there look at Penrith's draw to date. Massive pretenders.
