    The refereeing mostly.
And opposition teams could at least give us seating at the end of the sides of their stadiums...before the seats start to turn the corners.

Until we boycott away games [like most other teams' supporters are doing to us at Allianz] and boycott the NRL nothing will change, IMO.

Jaggers, most of us on here make an effort to get to most home games of the year, so it's not as if we don't support our team. Not many supporters are able to travel the country to support their team, and most of those that do have the grace not to criticise the ones that can't.

It would be great if all that mattered was getting to the footy, but unfortunately the mundane of everyday life tends to get in the way.

I was there, but i live there now.Never miss a roosters game in the ville.Understandably its hard for the sydney fans to come up for the game. The way to go is take a weeks holiday, come up before the game do a bit of reef fishing or dive the Yongala shipwreck go down to the Whitsunday islands for a couple of days or just go over to magnetic island 20 mins from the ville by boat.Book into the Kakaruks Inn right in the middle of the city and we will look after you.Always a few roosters supporters come down from the North and western qld for the game.Had a couple of JWHs family in for this one.Cheers.

I was making my way home from work & by the time I got home it was 4 nil in favour of the Cowboys.

But then I sat down on my lounge in front of my big smart TV with my remote in my hand & my wife bringing me Mongolian chicken & rice & a Tooheys new watching the Mighty Roosters getting royally carved up.

I would love to go up to Townsville & watch the Roosters get toweled up by the Cowboys. I cant wait for the Roosters to take there next home game against the Cowboys & play it in Darwin wearing the jumpers with no sponsors on them with Jim Dymock watching on.

Not at all. Just disappointing to see so few at the game. Qld based chook fans in particular need to dig a little deeper as the lads only get up here once maybe twice a year.

Who are you to demand how others spend their money? Not every family is rolling in it you know. When I lived in Melboring, I certainly did not complain about the size of the crowd at the one Roosters game I went to whilst I was down there, nor did I come on here and have a dig at my fellow fans. I was happy to see those at the meet and greet who did make the trip down. To be honest we got stitched up so badly in that game (March 2012 it was) and stuck in the nosebleed section as well so far up high I could see Tasmania, I was actually grateful that so many Roosters fans didn't waste their hard earned going down to AAMI Park for that one. It was downright painful being at that game. Why would I inflict that on people I'm friends with?

This is lithe first game Danish and I have missed in the last 50. We were also there for that abomination at AAMI Park redwhiteblue referred to. It certainly helps that we don't have any kids and both love the Chooks equally so there are no arguments about what we do each weekend, but I certainly don't begrudge any other supporter for not going to as many games. Everyone's circumstances are different, it doesn't mean you are any less of a supporter if you don't go to all the games.

Must say I was at the 2003 World Club Challenge match at Reebok Stadium in Bolton England and the lack of roosters supporters was embarrassing. Everyone give yourself an uppercut!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                      Here's looking at you, kid.

I remembered it was your birthday that weekend too as Danish had mentioned it on here back then. All I could think of was I'd hoped you'd at least stayed in a really lovely hotel as that game was probably the most painful I'd witnessed.

We are a Sydney based team. Does it really suprise you that we had very few supporters at a game in North Qld!?

Come on mate, we struggle to get people to games at home....and you're expecting people to travel 2000k's to an away game?

Well done to the guys who went, but to count yourself as some kind of super fan just because you were there is a bit off. Especially if you live in Townsville.....

Posts like this are a good reminder of the IQ of some supporters. The only uppercut being given is to you Jaggers you goose. It is expensive enough for an average family to attend our home games. Who, apart from hardcore fans, would book a flight to Far North Queensland to watch a game of football?

                              You sir are a wanker.

Now let me see...round 10...that's this round...Cowboys V Roosters in Townsville Qld.

I was in Sydney, at home.
When I was younger and had more disposable income I attended our matches in Townsville several times.
Also Perth, Darwin, ...Gold Coast and Bris many times.

                                Took a few days..."mini holidays".

That was when Australia was sane...today the place has gone mad.
You don't know if you're going to have a job tomorrow, and electricity, gas etc bills have skyrocketed.
35,000 households in NSW had their power cut off last year, and many thousands of others begged and borrowed to keep it connected.

Most fans don't have spare cash or the time to be travelling to Townsville from Sydney for footy matches...seems to me.

Townsville is not just down the road...and, most people in FNQ would likely follow the Cowboys...and those who follow other teams would be divided between the 16 clubs.
Hey but your heroes Jones and Hadley say we need to slash expenditure (ie disposable income) more
On the OP's topic, I have two kids and live in Canberra. We struggle to get to Sydney for games each year let alone Townsville!
