I was in Sydney, at home.
When I was younger and had more disposable income I attended our matches in Townsville several times.
Also Perth, Darwin, ...Gold Coast and Bris many times.

Took a few days..."mini holidays".

That was when Australia was sane...today the place has gone mad.
You don't know if you're going to have a job tomorrow, and electricity, gas etc bills have skyrocketed.
35,000 households in NSW had their power cut off last year, and many thousands of others begged and borrowed to keep it connected.

Most fans don't have spare cash or the time to be travelling to Townsville from Sydney for footy matches...seems to me.

Townsville is not just down the road...and, most people in FNQ would likely follow the Cowboys...and those who follow other teams would be divided between the 16 clubs.

in years past I would of been up in Townsville but the fact that I now have 3 kids under 5 means my travelling days are on hold for a while

Anyway, all our fans should be boycotting away games in protest until the other teams start treating them a lot better with ticket prices and seating, ...and the refereeing improves greatly.
Look at the refereeing of our matches this season, including last night.

I've received a special member's offer for nearly every away game this year so I'm not sure what your complaint is about.
