Still no win against a top flight club, and many close wins against crap sides, that we should of put away easy. I allow one exception to that spray, Jake friend has been carrying the club, he is without doubt the best hooker in the comp now, and that includes Smith, without him, we would not of won as many games as we have.. Come on Robbo, prove ya not a one time wonder, fire up there, put some mongrel back into their defence, and somehow teach them to hold and pass a football.
Yeah sure, we might not be going as good as we could be, but I'd hardly say knocking off most opponents in the last few months by around 5 tries to 1 or 2 are close wins. And you say we haven't beat a top side yet. Well yeah true, but we haven't really played one since round 5, or round 4 if you don't rate the doggies. And we all know the joke of a night the game against womanly was.

Plus, it's not like any of the 'top teams' are going much better. If they were, we wouldn't be just two points behind them (and most of them have had at least one bye).

I agree we aren't at our best, but I'd hardly say we are crap

I'm sure he is a Roosters fan. He might have some memory problems though - if he thinks we're crap now, what word would he use to describe some of our dud teams from the past?

          Deja vu.

Another comfortable win with 4 of our main blokes out, and another load of moaning bollocks from you.

Tommy I've got to ask, how many tv's have you broken watching the chooks? Reading the match day thread and all your posts was a good laugh. You certainly wear your heart on your sleeve.

Pearce, Roger, SKD and Liu in the second half were the ones putting us into the next gear, they all had big second halves of footy.

SKD scored his 90th try to be one behind Freddy Fittler in the all-time Roosters try scoring list

              The Count 131 tries
              Bill Mullins 104 tries
              Dave Brown 93 tries
              Freddy 91 tries
              SKD 90 tries

That is illustrious company for a player who has been called "not up to first grade standard" or "an average first grader at best" by some of the experts here.

I agree with us having gears during a game. It's a luxury few others have.

However, we haven't put in a full shift all season.

We can't expect them to just click into gear the first week of the finals.

There needs to be some evidence that it is possible prior to then.

Most first half performances this season have not been easy for us to perform against a quick line defence or teams being allowed to play within the 10 however most teams are unable to sustain it yet I think a lot of the time our very cramped and shallow attack in the ruck area and slow play the balls is the root of the temporary situation. Our completion rate in the second half was 85% and we seemed to have the mongrel factor in defence

There is a lot of time to do this, but it's really good that the final 3 games are the warriors in NZ, and the vermin and storm at home. Great warm-ups before the finals, to make sure we play our best for the full 80 min

Only concern is this could be a draining 3 weeks, which could hurt us if we come 5th or lower as every match in the finals becomes a grand final

Dave Brown only played 94 games for his just under a try a game.Thats one of the reasons why they call him the Bradman of rugby league.

Does anyone know how many games Brown played to score those tries. It must be better than one a game

94 Mate.Nobody gets near that and never will.He is the greatest player ever to pull on a boot if you judge that by records.Just like Bradmans records lead you to believe he was the greatest batsman to pick up a bat.
