Of course we won't win the spoon ... that's just frustration.

Bottom line is I'm a mess during games and my way of dealing with it is to vent online. Even if it makes me look like knob, which it probably does.

Ive spent mmost of my life following the Roosters through thick and thin ... spending thousands travelling across the country to four GFs and a prelim. Not to mention memberships and merchandise.

I'm didn't get to see the game last night due to a family function and will watch the replay today....so reading the match day thread is very entertaining and I never doubt your allegience to the Roosters, your nerves (or lack of them..lol) and how you display it is actually hilarious to me .....

PD, you should have seen the specimen a girlfriend and I got stuck next to last year at the Manly semi. Luckily there was one spare seat between us but he kept bouncing around like he had ADHD. He was from my generation but kept pestering me because apparently I was not nervous enough for his liking. Apparently because I was sitting calmly enjoying our team's tough gritty performance without swearing, hand wringing and dramatic gestures worthy of a NIDA graduate, I could not have been that into the game... Honestly, to drown him out, I had to put my ipod on to Whitesnakes Greatest Hits!

I think the problem lies with the posts made by people who really don't sound and act like genuine Roosters fans, just trolls. My personal belief is that if someone has a deadset dislike of a certain player, and it's one or two of our own, then the problem is with the person continuing to spit vitriol week after week on an internet forum, sounding like a broken record and grinding their own personal axe. I used to sit next to a girl in Bay 13 who used to post on the old Wall about Sam Perrett. Her hatred of him was actually quite personal and was quite frightening to witness. I'm thrilled to be nowhere near this person now and hopefully she is leaving Sam alone now that he no longer plays for us.

That's different to posts where people are just letting off steam during the course of a game on the match day thread..like a running commentary..That I do not have a problem with as we all do it from time to time..
