I'm not surprised by our early lack of form. I predicted as much. But we need to start winning immediately. Not sure four straight loses is premiership-winning standard, even this early in the piece.

So we need to win this weekend. No two ways about it.

It's maybe the most important regular season match we've played in years.

We are just as likely to be 2-7 after 9 rnds. The fact that we receive fek all penalties, are totaly out of form, have no structure or creativity in attack, have minicello as our fb, and every team aims up against us, bottom 4 is not far fetched this yr.

We are two wins from six games to start the year. Only three teams in the 100-plus year history of first grade rugby league have won a premiership from that start. Common sense tells you that we won't be winning the premiership this year, along with the fact that the last time a team went back to back was all the way back in 1993.

Aren't we one of those three teams though?

I remember we got off to a very bad start in 02.

That is true Greedz. The massive difference for me though is that we were decimated by injury and suspension straight after our round 1 win that year. At one stage we had 16 players unavailable.

Against the reigning spooners pawwa, we were basically at full strength, which is the real worry!

With those things I mentioned before, the odds are hugely stacked against us unfortunately.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

            Here's looking at you, kid.

But when calm and considered these are the facts:

Would anyone back against us going 13-5 to finish the season? I wouldn't.

We do that and we'll finish 15-9 with no doubt an excellent F and A.

That will undoubtedly see us in the top 4 in a comp defined by such parity.

And in 3 weeks 13-5 will become 10-5. Im very confident of that.
Love your honesty Tommy. 😁 Maybe you need a self imposed 1 hr ban from posting immediately after the final whistle!

I still think its down to us though how far we go in the comp this year rather than any historical precedents.

I'm not panicking just yet, there's too much talent in this footy side to just fall away like they have. I think it's more of an attitude and execution problem.

I may not be panicking yet, but my patience is wearing very ****en thin...

I hope your right Jack!! One thing is for sure, we must start winning this weekend and most likely can't afford another loss before origin starts.

If we are to make history and win from outside the top 4, we must finish 5th or 6th to have any chance.

At this point in time with the way we are going, I have just about no confidence in us going back to back. It will take a complete turn around in attack of enormous proportions! I think we are going to need a miracle. I pray to the footballing Gods, please give us this miracle!!

Its a big challenge for Trent to get us focussed and hungry again after climbing the mountain last year.

I think the team spirit is fine and the talent is there...its attitude with some attacking modifications that will hopefully see us go on a much needed winning streak...starting Anzac day at the latest!

I'm thinking that game could turn our season.

They should be down from that cloud they've all been on since last October by now..moreso after 3 losses in a row..

We could actually be 0-6, but for Parra blowing a certain try in Round 2 & then not coming out of the sheds after half time, & the Broncos thinking they had the game won & clocking off, so their form is actually worse than the ladder suggests..

There has been a lot of doom and gloom in the last three weeks on here but suggesting we were lucky to win a game 56-4 is really taking it a little bit far.

So you don't want to adress the issue as a whole??..

You'd rather argue about one line??..

                              Interesting way to approach things..

There is a coach and players whose job it is to address the issues, I'm just a numpty who follows the team.

In my view, we have been off the pace, beaten but not embarrassed, and unfortunately lost three in a row (most teams will lose at least three in a row over the season). I am as frustrated as anyone else but it doesn't take much for a situation like we are in to turn.

Horrie, I respect your posting in general, but I just thought that one post summed up the general zeitgeist on here in a pretty wonderful way.

                                No offence intended.
