  • Sharks, Dragons and Tigers

This is a huge 3 game stretch for us.

We'll crunch the Sharks next week. They're hopeless.

Then on a sunny afternoon, such a rarity for our games, we'll thrash the Dragons. And the Tigers minus Tedesco and Farah will be no match for us.

I honestly have all the confidence in the world that we'll be 5-4 after 9 weeks which will put us on the cusp of the top 4.

Huge month coming up ahead of Origin. In 2002 we came off a torrid 3 game losing streak only for everything to click the next week in that unforgettable game up in Brisbane.

Here's hoping that moment when everything clicks is just around the corner again.

Yep but many on here would have you believe that our season is already over, that we are on track to finish bottom four and that we're hopeless etc because we've lost our last three games. In reality we've gone down to Manly by 8 points purely because of biased and incompetent refereeing, been beaten by 2 by the dogs scum playing the best footy they've played since they lost the gf to Melbourne and the eels by 1 point who many forget have convincingly beaten Brisbane in Brisbane, would've beaten manly at brookvale if not for more incompetent refereeing and smashed Penrith since we last played them.

I wish a few more people on here shared your common sense instead of panicking like raving lunatics.

Mate I like your confidence, and I too believe we will be 5-4 after round 9. I have the feeling that 1 win will build our confidence and open he floodgates. However I don't think we will flog the sharks - shark park is a tough place to go. We should still beat them but. The dragons will provide a tougher match then last year, but their side hardly shades ours.

I'm happy that some people on here still have confidence in the team. Bring on Saturday and our win against the Sharks

Well as the owner of the "will we make the 8" thread I can't claim too much credit for staying calm and optimistic lol

But in the heat of the moment I say all sorts of stupid shit I don't mean. Im terrible at handling defeat.

But when calm and considered these are the facts:

Would anyone back against us going 13-5 to finish the season? I wouldn't.

We do that and we'll finish 15-9 with no doubt an excellent F and A.

That will undoubtedly see us in the top 4 in a comp defined by such parity.

And in 3 weeks 13-5 will become 10-5. Im very confident of that.

I wish I had your confidence but after Saturday mine is shot to ribbons.

Actually, Tommy Smith has been among the worst lol

I hope we smash the Sharks. Anything less than 13+ isnt good enough IMO. They are anchored at the bottom of the ladder and are in the worst form possible

              Haha I don't deny that.

Actually I can't even handle a knock on, let alone defeat!!

But so often teams have overcome a poor start to the year to go all the way to a GF. Parra in 09, us in 10, warriors in 11, dogs 12 ... none who have half the pedigree we do and were all meandering at one point or another during the year.

If we lose on Saturday then stick a fork in us ... but I'm ultra confident for the first time in a month. We'll maul the Sharks Dragons and Tigers.

People seem to forget that Melbourne also lost 4 or 5 in a row (it was mid to late season) en route to winning in 2012.

I agree we should win the next 3 games and like some of the other posters have said, we are not that far off at the moment. It is the 1 percenters we are not doing well or at all and sensible decisions such as kicking for goal when the 2 points present themselves at crucial moments in the game e.g. last week v Bulldogs and last night v Eels.

I look upon the Sharks game as picking up a fuggo in a sleazy bar to break a dry streak. It's ugly, you'll want to cut your own arm off to get away from her but you need to do it.

Either that or we need to be like Colin Barnett and do some Shark culling.

It's a must win big next week.

Im thinking we will win 1 of the next 3, hope its the anzac clash as I will be there. There is nothing at the moment suggesting that we are capable of beating dragons or the tigers.

                      Dribble.

On a sunny Anzac afternoon away from the rain we'll rip the Dragons a new one.

**** those ****s I cant stand them. We'll wipe the floor with those March premier turds.

                      Robbo vs Price? LOLOOOLOL

Gallen will be back next Saturday and we'll lose the penalty count 13 - 4, not convinced we will win.

The other two we should win though.

I can't see the common sense saying that we are going to thrash our opposition in the next 3 games when we are struggling like all hell in order to score a try!

We are two wins from six games to start the year. Only three teams in the 100-plus year history of first grade rugby league have won a premiership from that start. Common sense tells you that we won't be winning the premiership this year, along with the fact that the last time a team went back to back was all the way back in 1993.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                              Here's looking at you, kid.
