I thought Hayne did a great job defending Boyd, in fact he did a great job defending all night.

IMO Boyd showed the frustration in all our players at the moment.

They look like they are trying too hard.

We are making enough line breaks, we are getting over the line enough or at least into the position to score, we are in games right till the final siren, it's just that final bit of execution that's costing us the games.

You can see it on their faces, they are busting their arses, it's just not clicking for some reason.

I believe it's a bit of mental after last years success. A bit of rust. A bit of fitness not at peak levels as yet.

Mostly the teams we have been playing have aimed up massively. 36 completed from 38 sets was what Watsamatta did. Who does that??? Freakish shit I tells ya.

Still we are closer to banging some poor teams arse than we are to copping it ourselves.

I'm predicting the next few weeks someone's gonna feel the wrath.

Like some nasty post prison sex.

    Pain.

    The FlogPen .

    You know it makes sense.

And for the record R6, what makes you think only women talk s**t as you so eloquently put it. Go to my hairdresser in Charing Cross, take note of what is spoken about, and then head over to either the Robin Hood Hotel or the Charing Cross Hotel and do some eavesdropping there too will you? I gather you will not find any Algonquin Round Table members there either! Your comments
are sexist and just plain dumb. I expect better from a moderator. You do this forum a disservice every time you allow threads repeatedly bashing long serving players to thrive and carry on for days.
      Great post RWB,

I might have to try those ideas, as I'm off there early on Sat morning (ggrrr).

R6 has been backtracking ever since.

I will say I cannot get a handle on how the moderation works on this site. Some of inappropriate posts in recent years should have been deleted on the spot but have lingered on yet others are deleted for no real apparent reason. Same is the closure of threads, which is very random.

Back on topic, Cords will come good sooner rather than later as far as the footy goes. He is far too talented a player not to. It may be as simple as overthinking the situation at the moment, which I suspect a lot of our players are.

Onwards and upwards against the gormless guppies this Sat.

A few of us expressed our concern and displeasure at the idea of Todd Carney and Boyd Cordner hanging around together so you started saying we were gossipy old women and saying it was the lowlight of public forums. Cast your mind back to when the Minichellos announced that Terry was expecting their first child and go read some of the filthy and graphic comments about their private life then. For me personally, that was as low as this place ever got but no posts were ever deleted or anyone warned. Or what about the inflammatory comments about SKD's family and his supposed 'mental health' issues. That charming innuendo ended up in a Sunday paper for goodness sake! That is all off the field stuff which has nothing to do with spilled bombs or running sideways!

So in your world, it's ok to discuss Mini and Terry's personal life and how the baby was conceived. It's also ok to allude to a player having a mental health issue when the actual truth was he had a rib injury.
But God forbid we should discuss someone's flat mate or drinking buddy because that is just plain awful isn't it?
Why not just give us a list of players we can talk about openly and freely as we please, as you say, and also give us a list of players we are not permitted to talk about all.
Go watch a few episodes of 'Cheers' and see how men behave in pubs. It's portrayed that way in the media so it must be true...
What a load of crap, I never said those comments were ok nor did I partake in that sort of discussion... talking about defamation. I wonder if you'll give me the same courtesy of an apology?

Contrary to popular belief I don't actually read every post on here & I'm certainly under no obligation to do so. I enjoy this forum for the Rugby League related discussion not what happens in people's personal lives. Whilst I accept it's an interest to a lot of people and I don't mind getting a bit of an insight into what the boys are like away from footy it really doesn't interest me a whole lot so I don't read a lot of those threads and I certainly stop reading threads as they start to deteriorate into that. Like you I agree all personal bashing is really just unacceptable, I maintain all of it is all a reflection of what a gossipy society we have become & often the truth gets pushed aside for the more interesting story.

You also seem to be mistaking my post as action taken by a moderator rather than a comment made by a member which is all it was. I haven't taken any action, the poster hasn't been infracted, the post hasn't been removed & the thread hasn't been closed.

In future send me a PM if you've got an issue with a thread, or use the report button and one of the mods/admins will look at it. I don't have enough time to read every single post on here but what you write above is clearly reason enough to warrant some sort of action.

Most sexist, racist & bigoted remarks are due to a lack of education/ignorance. What else do you want me to accredit it to? I put my hand up and apologise because I should've known better not blaming it on anyone but myself.

R6, I do appreciate your apology and I accept. I was just amazed at how much people were allowed to speak so graphically speak of the Minichellos when the annoucement was made. Some of the posts were truly awful and what bothered me most was the thread was started by a really nice person who just wanted to wish them well and it quickly went downmarket with the smutty comments. And alluding to mental illness in any player is just not on, especially one of our own. I really thought your job as a moderator was to take note of these comments and take action. Some of us on here feel the goalposts are constanly being shifted on us and what is acceptable one week may be deleted the next. We just want consistancy and fairness for everyone.

Shouldn't you be in the kitchen fixing sandwiches and whatnot?

Darling, it's too late in the day for mere sandwiches. I don't know what a whatnot is but I'm sure I can find a suitable recipe. How about a nice roast instead with all the trimmings?

And shouldn't you be sitting on a barstool somewhere scratching something and mumbling into a beer?

I went last Saturday very early. I'm lucky my hairdresser is a Roosters fan and he opens early for me. As for Boyd, you could just see the frustration on his face throughout the whole game and he is very hard on himself. He is a very mature player, wise beyond his years with natural talent. A few work colleagues said they would hate to be facing us this week after 3 very close losses. I'm always confident of the team and Trent's ability to bring out the best in the players. To be honest my mind is on ANZAC Day because I'm excited as it's my favourite game and day of the year but then I'm not a player am I?

I'm reminded of that Billy Connelly bit where he's talking about how when as a kid his aunt asked his dad how he took his tea, and his old man said "Tea??? That's wimmin's business".

It's funnier if you read it in a Billy Connelly voice.

You've been watching too many Simpsons episodes. Homer is in seventh heaven. And after all this time I thought that all to charm you was to move like Fred Astaire and sing like Tony Bennett
