And for the record R6, what makes you think only women talk s**t as you so eloquently put it. Go to my hairdresser in Charing Cross, take note of what is spoken about, and then head over to either the Robin Hood Hotel or the Charing Cross Hotel and do some eavesdropping there too will you? I gather you will not find any Algonquin Round Table members there either! Your comments
are sexist and just plain dumb. I expect better from a moderator. You do this forum a disservice every time you allow threads repeatedly bashing long serving players to thrive and carry on for days.
Fair enough, I will cop the sexism comments. I can't say I've actually been in a woman's hairdresser so it's ignorant of me to make such a comment based on the stereotype that's so often pushed in the media & film industries about women's hairdressers/saloons. For that I apologise.

I wont however apologise for allowing freedom of speech. Just because Mini is a long serving player doesn't mean people are any less entitled to having an opinion on him than someone like SKD, Kennedy or Pearce. You might disagree but I believe I'd be doing the forum a bigger disservice by not letting people voice their opinions as they please.

My Dad is getting a copy of this outstanding post DarkMan.

For one, I actually think Ricky was instrumental those 3 years. In Freddy's auto biography he goes to some length outlining Ricky's approach, and really attributes his own excellent form to yer man, Stuart.

Secondly, your Smithy allusion is weak. The squad that won 2013 was different in key positions to the 2010 one. We brought in 4 rep players, including the best player in the comp to replace the likes of Anasta.

In 2002, Stuart brought in Mullins, Payton and Kidwell, right?
I look at the fact my Dad debuted such players as RTS and DoubleSteamer and Boyd and Aiden and Moga. Even BumJack and a few others that have moved along.

He also purchased Baloney in late 2011.

He also, reportedly, had the backing of $BW who we all know was enticed to the club, unoficially, while Smiffy was still coach.

Even as far as moving Maubs to the pack and SKiD to he centres.

All the while having Bwaiff as Craptain.

I'm not really trying to decide who did what and whose responsible for either GF win. I just thought its an interesting take on Faves. pRick won the comp but Muzz gets the credit in many people's eyes. Those same people NEVER credit Smiffy for last season.

        IMO it's so human maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.

In response to your original question so this doesn't follow me around the same doesn't apply because I don't believe Mini's poor start to the season has anything to do with form, lack of a pre-season or early season rust. I've just never thought highly of his abilities post his unfortunate back injuries.

I'll agree to disagree with you about Mini I accepted that some time back but my logic isn't flawed, the difference in our opinions lies purely in how highly we rate Minichiello. Not some twisted biased agenda against him.
I don't know mate, I believe my point was and is valid. You dodged cos you weren't able to admit to yourself you treat Mini differently to others in the team. Your faves.

I don't care that you do it. Most posters on this site do the same.

But if you were really honest with yourself you'd admit you judge Mini differently simply cos you want RTS or Tompkins at FB. You believe your opinion is right.

And that's kool and the gang IMO.

I have no special love for Mini or MLK or SKiD or Smiffy.

I just love geeing people up about them cos its amusing going against the grain. And I ain't black and white. I see grey.

I try to look at the whole picture. Deal with the negatives and try to turn them into a positive.

I guess I try to think somewhat like a coach has to. Deal with the in between. And not let the emotion take control of what has to be controlled.

Sure I hate us losing and I dig we have weaknesses. But I also know that everyone has weaknesses. And it's how you deal with those weaknesses and balance them out so you more often than not can get the result in the end. The important result.

Everyone supports in their own way. And that's fine. I ain't taking the piss of you or anyone's opinions.

Just explaining why I ask such things.

          Amusement.

          Go Mini.

There you go again! A few of us expressed our concern and displeasure at the idea of Todd Carney and Boyd Cordner hanging around together so you started saying we were gossipy old women and saying it was the lowlight of public forums. Cast your mind back to when the Minichellos announced that Terry was expecting their first child and go read some of the filthy and graphic comments about their private life then. For me personally, that was as low as this place ever got but no posts were ever deleted or anyone warned. Or what about the inflammatory comments about SKD's family and his supposed 'mental health' issues. That charming innuendo ended up in a Sunday paper for goodness sake! That is all off the field stuff which has nothing to do with spilled bombs or running sideways!

So in your world, it's ok to discuss Mini and Terry's personal life and how the baby was conceived. It's also ok to allude to a player having a mental health issue when the actual truth was he had a rib injury.
But God forbid we should discuss someone's flat mate or drinking buddy because that is just plain awful isn't it?
Why not just give us a list of players we can talk about openly and freely as we please, as you say, and also give us a list of players we are not permitted to talk about all.
Go watch a few episodes of 'Cheers' and see how men behave in pubs. It's portrayed that way in the media so it must be true...

An Alan Jones-esque masterclass in deflection and spin.

"I'm sorry I believed the media's depiction of women as unworthy equals. It's the media's fault".

Your second par makes sense, but IMO the minute you use the words "freedom of speech", you lose. It's another Jones-ism.

Tbh, I thought more of you, 6.

Execution was poor across the board, Cordner has put in every week and done a lot of the hard yards he's one of the few who can be happy with their form.
To be fair I think Friend scored against the odds. Refs didn't see it that way, but I don't think he bombed a certain try.

I reckon that Cordner has come back from the Kangaroo tour a bit of a hog. A few times this year he hasn't passed it when there has been support.

I don't think it was his intention to "hog" it.

Hayney was too smart and conned him into going himself.

The play was an earlier ball to his support left and stay alive inside..hayne would have been on wrong foot and no chance to recover in time.

                          Easy in hindsight!

Bang on mate. Hayne didn't commit himself at any point, and Cordner obviously wanted to try and commit him before passing.

If he'd passed, I reckon Maloney would have committed Hayne to the tackle, and then passed to Jenko who scores.

Just put it down to inexperience, or the great defensive work of Hayne.

Cordner had a three on one situation when he made that bust early in the game. He should have passed in to Maloney straight away. Maloney would have then had Jennings outside him and Cordner inside him. He messed it up, simple as that. Hayne was confronted with three players coming at him. Should have been a try. Hayne was back pedalling waiting for the Roosters to make a decision.

What needed to be done was commit Hayne early and he is out of the picture. The longer it went, the better for Hayne.
