I was at that game in Bolton supporting the Roosters.

You had an awesome side that night with the likes of Fittler, Cayless, Ricketson and Wing. What ever happened to Craig Wing by the way? Top player, but i'm sure he had a lot of injuries?

He carried a lot of injuries but that didn't stop him from playing.

He was a great player, regularly walking into rep squads while he played for us over a number of years, despite being played as a hooker / utility rather than a half (where he played in our 2002 comp-winning side).

Nobody would have said a bad word of him until out of nowhere he announced publicly that he'd signed with our hated rivals (Souths) for the next season, and was seen sat in a press conference wearing their cheesy jersey, with an even cheesier grin, sitting next to el Grande Cheeseman himself, Russel Crowe. He still had a number of games left to play with us at the time.

He was dead to me at that point, and although time heals all wounds, I will never forget that act of turn-coatery.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

And i will never forget Rd 1 2008 when Riley "The Prowler" Brown made Wing's return a very unpleasant one sidelining him for 8 weeks with broken ribs. The pretty boy didn't enjoy a good ride from then on. 3rd party arrangements didn't come to fruition and he lost a heap of $$$ in a failed business venture.
Hindsight is a powerful thing. I wonder if he ever regretted leaving us?

          It's all about the cattle.

A good coach can inspire average players but rarely pull off a miracle, like Bwian Smiff.

But it still takes a very good coach with very good cattle to get the job done.

Some shit coaches can ruin a very talented side, like Steve Kearney at this years WC.

I don't see any problems signing McNamara. So far Coach Robbo has nailed his recruitment both player and support staff wise.

If he's that bad I'm sure he will be sent back before he can do any damage.

All it takes is Big Daddy Kane to 'get the job done'
