Another field goal which springs to mind was Chris Sandows golden point field goal at Homebush in 2011 against us to win the Vermin match I remember being at home watching the tv in kitchen and my daughter then 2 was playing behind me As they passed the ball on last to Sandow I saw him lining up to have a crack at field goal I thought to myself absolutely no hope from there so I turned around and walked to check on my Daughter expecting to turn around to see us retreiving the ball and bringing it back Suddnely I heard the roars of the commentators and spun around to see it just land over the crossbar. I remeber they went to the video to check it From memory that kick was near the halfway line and about 15 metres from the sidelineLast edited by Andrew Walker; 10-25-2013, 06:09 PM.When you trust your television

Talking about our good mate Braith, intersting to see he he played for Greece against Hungary over the weekend, which Greece won 90-0. He scored four tries, which is to be expected against such inexperienced opposition, but what is most interesting is this, which comes from the tigers NRL website:
".....and kicked 15 goals from as many attempts, many of them wide out."
Firstly, Braith with a 100% kicking record is unbelievable in itself, but secondly if many were from the sideline as suggested, why the hell couldn't he do that in a Roosters shirt!? The amount of games we lost because of his piss poor kicking is unbelievable, yet he manages that!!!!

Man I hated the Braith years. Just long barren depressing times. Basically hired as the marquee replacement for Fittler, such an awful mistake that set the club back years. The merry go round of unsuitable coaches didn't help either, but just a sad depressing time in the club's history.
The problem with Braith is he wasn't really a ball player, but then neither was he a ball runner. His role basically came down to kick offs and arguing with refs. Not quite what you want from your captain and marquee player. I'm sure he's a nice guy though.
