Penalty any day of the week. No problem whatsoever with penalty try.

( this is the best part) The silly dopes dont really know the rules, I tell them Toups was tackled mid air by Stewart and that even though he scored, it should have ALSO been a penalty to the Chooks (8 point try) and the Manly supporters all go quite and mummble and walk away. The fact is that it was all fair as the defender CAN tackle the attacker in the air..or so i believe ? Thats the fun part as they dont know the rules...PLUS we won anyway!
you need to know the rules before asking for a 8 point try for toups.
only when a n attacking team has kicked the ball to the air and the defender is off the ground in the act of catching the ball, the attacking team cant attempt a tackle til such time the defender has landed safely to the ground.
an attacking kick if contested by an attacking player and he is tackled in the air no penality if he is tackled in the air.

this rule is to protect the stationary defensive player from being smashed into the history books.

I don't think maubs grabbed appealforeverything.com.au . maubs was reaching for the ball around appealforeverything.com.au and bumped him forward. if appealforeverything.com.au was as committed to the ball as much as appealing for everything he would have score the try, but instead pearcy had to show him how to be committed and scores it for the half wit.
