Oh yeah and forgot too....while at the family park bar ...a big truck with a huge billboard that that was Tiffanys (brothel add) I said to the boys ." Hey our bus is here lets go" then we stood up pretending to leave then the wives proceeded to bash us

Woke up in the heart of enemy territory as I now do everyday. Walked the streets with my newborn son, Manly banners and colours everywhere. Took some time out for a swim at Manly beach.

Made the heartbreaking decision to leave my 7 week old boy at home with his mother, we'll hopefully have plenty more to watch in years to come.

Headed down to Manly Steyne at 2pm and settled in for the afternoon. Was tempted to send a tweet the way of the Roosters dressing room after seeing Manly fans walking through the pub selling "Manly 2013 Premiers T-Shirts" before kickoff!

I saw only 2 other Rooster supporters.

I must say the atmosphere in this place was amazing. The roar of the Eagles fans was nothing short of being at the game, only with my solitary cheer, clap and exuberant fist pumps front and centre of the big screen.

I took a recording of the crowd noise immediately following Jennings try to one day share with my son... rather than post it, simply cover your ears... silence.

Started the day helping the wife clean, she put the foot down, no footy until house is cleaned. Smashed that and cracked open a cold one around 10.30. Got dropped off at the local around 11.30, met up with mates and my brother and old man. Left the pub around 6 and walked back to my house with everyone in tow.
Wife had gone for the night with the tin lids and the party kicked into gear. After the game there was a stack of high fives, wahooo's and too many shots. Me being the only chooks supporter, I was crowing all night. Woke up on the back deck in the hammock. House was a mess, everyone crashed on the floor or couch.
        WHAT A ****EN TOP NIGHT!!!!

Woke up, washed the car to the sounds of 'Here come the Roosters' and 'Roosterman', had a swim, visited my oldman, feeling depressed I wasn't at the game, started drinking, fired up the barbie, watched all three grades with my sons, cheered loudly, sang Rooster songs, washed the dishes, watched the highlights, went to bed feeling good.

Woke up late at around 11:30, jumped into Roosters jersey, jeans, cap and membership card straight away. Realised it was too hot and put shorts on and got ready for the game

Left home with my identical twin brother (also 16 years old) at around 3:50, Took train from Burwood to Strathfield then strathfield to olympic park! Soaked up the atmosphere for a bit and then walked up what seemed like an endless spiral to my seet in aisle 608-1 (i think). Watched the U20s, warriors nearly came back and their No.17 was a beast!

Met my uncle and his family friends there with my brother. Nervous feeling heading up to the game, when the game started I was relieved and amazed that I may be about to witness the Roosters win a GF ! This was the first grand final I have ever attended so I was so excited

Sat behind this old female Manly supporter who was cocky the whole game. Felt good to cheer at her when Jennings scored that try.
Stayed for presentation, felt slack about everyone booing at DCE, wasnt his fault haha but still

Got a hand shake and a 'congratulations' from a Manly fan at strat station on the way home! Started celebrating and slept at 1. Lucky next day was public holiday so no school as I had been on holidays for 2 weeks.

              UP THE CHOOKSa

                I sorta remember Jennings scoring.
The dude at the bottle shop was real happy with me earlier.
                What month is it now?

Wanted to sleep in but could not, I was so excited. I played our team song just to set the mood
Put on my new roosters polo shirt and walked down the road to grab the newspaper and a coffee. (the coffee shop owned by Rabbits supporters).
About 11.30am went over to my in laws for lunch. My daughter (12 yrs old) and I made our way to ground and got to Homebush at at around 4.00pm. We both had our roosters jumpers on. Got into the ground with 20 mins to go in the unders 20s. We sat in Bay 114 very close to the rooster bay at the Northern end.
Was worried at HT as it was the same scoreline as in 2010 (8 - 6) and yes very worried when Manly skipped ahead.
Went berserk when SKD scored and cannot describe the emotion when Jennings pounced. The last 7 mins seemed to take forever.
I have never heard our team song sound so good when it was played at FT
Seeing Mini lift the trophy was special and the lap of honor was amazing.
Srated to make our way home. Daughter and I were hungry so we stopped at our local Maccas (at Heathcote) it was packed with rooster supporters, many had been at the game
Got home at about 11.40pm and could not sleep. Watched highlights and interviews on Fox.
                  What a day!!!!
