Without SBW's 2 big plays in the last 20, I'm not sure we win tonight.
Also, ironically enough, we got the better calls.

h. Crowding the player in possession once the tackle is complete using their knees, arms or body.SUPER DRAGON!

I thought it was all over if they scored again when leading 18-8. I couldn't believe we got the penalty when I saw JWH head but someone. The Gods were on our side tonight after leaving us to our fate all year with the refs. Manly got to taste what we have eaten for every game. But we have learnt to win in spite of huge penalty counts against us. That is what makes us true champions. Anyone can win when everything goes your way and Manly needed all the luck to win but couldn't dig deep enough like we have when the luck wasn't with them. We are the hallmark of true champions. So Justice was done. Manly had it all to prove not us. If they were good enough then a few controversial decisions wouldn't have led to a loss. Toovey should understand that as refereeing will never be perfect. To be ahead 18-8 in a grand final and then lose it you have NO EXCUSE.
Two times behind in a grand final and we still win. How many teams in any code can do that?Last edited by roosterguy; 10-07-2013, 04:05 AM.

After all these years, so sick of seeing Gearin scoring that try, or Scott Sattler's tackle. Finally a GF highlight we can all enjoy when it's shown on highlight reels in years to come

i have to be perfectly honest and say i thought it was deja vu from the 2010 decider when we came out of half time and let the opposition score. The Steve Matai try really burried me emotionally at the game and i was getting the dirts hearing that " Manlly" chant get up.
I look forward to watching the replay of the game as the guys fought back really quickly to get the try we needed to get us back in the game. The Mitchell Pearce pass to Guerra through the gap - gorgeous stuff.
I'm so happy Anthony Minichiello is not the person to go down with 5 GF's losses 2-4 is better than 1-5. So happy for our Champion fullback.Last edited by Henryj; 10-07-2013, 08:58 AM.

Come on...anyone who thinks we weren't gone or at least in a very very awkward position is lying!
Two tries behind in GF is not the place to be particularly against a side like Manly.
Just an awesome effort from everyone to stay calm and just know if they stuck to the plan and didn't panic they would get there.
Hats off to Manly they made us work so hard for that which makes it so much sweeter in the end. When we beat the warriors it almost felt like an anti climax because we won too easy in the end. Not this time! In doubt almost right to the end. One of the great games no matter who you follow and I can't wait to watch it again. And again, and again...
