Perhaps instead of watching the GF next week, all the verminites can gather at Souffs Leagues (is that still operating ?) and watch the new Sam Burgess DVD.
Even if we lost tonight, as disappointing as that would be, I could at least take solace in thinking about all the arrogant Vermin supporters who'll now at least have to wait 43 years ....... to quote Inspector Blake from On The Buses .... "this has made my day Butler"

They also paid dearly for a few stupid mistakes. The game was won IMO, by shutting down Isaac Luke, and out-wrestling Souths.
Manly played like Melbourne, with quick play the balls, Souths needed to slow them down and up the tempo as well, very disappointing end.
Not I.
Not even one tiny little bit.
They deserved nothing...with all the crap they dished out during the season.
Also, more than one person thinks they only got as far as they did because they seemed to be the teachers' pets.
Luke's two knock-ons, and forward pass, ...cost them momentum bigtime.
Inglis should be in the centres.
We'll also likely pay dearly for a few stupid mistakes if we do them today.
We've also had a week off.
If our rusty B team turns up...then I'm very afraid we'll be in serious trouble...as Souths were.
If our slick-passing, 'concentrating on excellence' A team turns up...we have a good chance of winning.Last edited by bondi-boy; 09-28-2013, 10:22 AM.

Yes , agree this was very sad'
Im really glad the Vermin lost though. If they got to the GF that would be all that we heard for the next 2 weeks. How the 'pride of the league' did this - done that, first GF in 40 years - the crowd was just one sea of Red and Green - When Souths are going well rugby league is going well - blah blah blah. The media would have a field day with the superlatives, they wound'nt be able to print them out quick enough. Even if they lost the GF , it would be all about them. How brave - how courageous Souths were. There premiers would get a few lines on the back page noting how they lost to the guttsy Souths side and how priviledged and honoured they should be for being allowed to play against such a great side . The life story about how they were kicked out of the comp and fought back - fan power a 3 part segment. Then they'd tun there attention the phone-chucker and sing his prraises for a few more weeks.Proud member of the Ricky Stuart Appreciation club - Laurie Frier walks on water tra lal lala lar la la lar.

I know they did get alot of favouritism this year but I am one Roosters supporter that likes Souths, they're team doesn't have that many stars in it apart from Greg Inglis and Sam Burgess, the rest are blokes that do what the coach says and they've done well to go as far as they have with they're roster, I like that they have tried to groom Sutton and Reynolds into a great halves pairing, they are skinny on the wings and centres.
Manly have won before with the basically the same team and the same plays with Jamie Lyon on the right and yet teams have still not figured out how to stop it.
Today, I am confident the Roosters will win. There hasn't been much respect shown to the Roosters since Newcastle won last week, everyone is talking up Newcastle hoping the Roosters will choke. I hope the Roosters watched the game last night, they need to go and win the game and not expect Newcastle to lose it.

Funny how fox are airing the great documentary Slamming Sam on Friday. They thought they would cash in on the bunnies pending appearance in the gf. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Loved the faces of Rusty Crowe & Phac not happy would be an understatement, I know
Rusty Crowe makes a quid out of acting but last night he wasn't acting nor was his mate,
GI sitting like a stunned mullet on the field then Burgess couldn't string two words together
it was priceless all gobsmacked. Hey but, but, butttttttt it was to be our win tonight, then
next week our GF, the Silvertails weren't supposed to do that, on that note they all stamped their
feet & left on a red & green bus for places unknown to drown their sorrows,so good....
