  • We should rest players on Friday night...

Who cares about the minor premiership.

The main prize out of that little meaningless title is to play Melbourne in week one of the finals.

We should rest as many players as we can on Friday night. We have second spot wrapped up anyway if we lose.

Let the souffs mongs play Melbourne, and we can play the Sea Eagles, who I have much more confidence in our ability to beat.

Some of our key players look tired and need a week off to freshen up.

Furthermore, let it be known to all and sundry during the week that a number of Easts players our out with "niggling injuries". Thereby ensuring souffs don't get a massive crowd at the 'Bush.

All Easts supports can then comfortably stay home in the eastern suburbs, and save themselves for the first week of the finals back at Moore Park Road!

Easts to rest players this week! Yes, yes, yes more often.

We have had a pretty easy draw, if we need to rest players we are in trouble.

Disagree, we need to re-establish combinations and structures. You can't do that through training alone, it needs to be done on field in full game conditions.

Do we really want to lose 3 on the trot going into the semis? I don't want to bow out in straight sets like we did in 08. No we field the best possible side on fri night & take souths down. We need to make a statement.

This has been what we have been missing running into these last few weeks , changes to key support positions have broken up the combinations which were finely honed in the lead up.

              Rest players?
2 weeks ago we were all going on about lifting the Giltenan Shield as the best team in the comp.
Now, all of a sudden, despite losing 2 in a row and playing for MP, we are prepared to lose 3 in a row ! week out from the semis?
If we are good enough, we get it together, go out there next friday night and rebuild our confidence and go into semis as minor premiers.
we our it to ourselves and our fans.

Who can we bring in anyway?
All our depth is injured, suspended or playing for other clubs.
The only one is Arona who may be needed to replace FPN.

The boys need to lift this week to get some momentum into the big games.

                GO EASTS!!!!

hmm 2 losses where our combinations have looked out of sorts......yes, lets rest players so we can use finals opportunities to fine tune any problem areas......

                        Seriously !

When you get into a slump as a team, you get out of a slump as a team.

We have 3 weeks, Vs Souffs then the first 2 weeks of the finals. lets not do our nuts, we have time, we are still into this competition up to our necks !

How old is the Burgess mum? Its kind of off but she certainly seems to qualify as a high quality milf.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if 2 more of our forwards have an involuntary rest next match.

We may need to name TBC in our team this week.

                              How's Evans travelling?
