I see it more as a correction of our team.
3 of our forwards were out so our regular masterful defence pattern is almost out the window so the new boys have some quick learning to do.
Were they going Spazo sure they were .Our Captain that steadys the ship was also out .Mini has been good in that department .
I expect the Old chooks to fire on Sunday

I think teams become a reflection of their leadership.
This coach seems pretty cool to me.
From a temperament point of view I'm not that concerned.

More so the fact we said 3 weeks ago souths would sharpen. 5 weeks ago we were concerned we may have been peaking too early.
The worry is the impending pressure and stress and the way Pearce, Maloney, etc handle it. I believe FPN plays better under pressure.
RTS is magnificent and the team will lose out moving him back to wing.

I now think RTS will be a better 6 than 1.

He's lethal short of the line.

                Hi John

Could you please share with us what adversity we fought back from You seem to agree with Ray But I am sure by adversity he meant the blatant bias officiating
                Certainly Andrew.
I took the adversity to mean that we got smashed by a more committed team in the first half, in front of a notoriously fanatical home crowd where many a team has suffered despite being favourites.

I do not agree with the Referee conspiracy theories that seem to float around here after every loss (and even some wins)I think it is utter rubbish and just an easy cop out. I also disagree with the theory that the NRL want Souths to win and that they are getting looked after so that it does happen. That is just as ridiculous and just the opinion of paranoid, delusional supporters that look for every excuse possible for why we lost, except for "maybe the other team just played better"!!!!!

We sail a fine line every game. We push it to the limit in regards to the Refs patience and the majority of penalties are deserved. I even think some penalties are given away deliberately coz we back ourselves to stop teams.

We had plenty of penalties awarded to us against the Sharks bit they defended their line like......... well... Us! Us about 6 weeks ago.

We were beaten fair and square and even in the first half had a heap of chances at their line. We were out enthused and their first half defense was exceptional.

So if Raymond was referring to referee bias, then alas, I must disagree with him.

Are you ecstatic that I shared that with you Andrew?

                  I am over the moon

Personally I thought we were outmuscled in the 1st 20 minutes Not the whole 1st half i thought we were getting on top of them after the 20 minute mark As you said we did have chances and didnt take them. They defended well and we looked a little lost without Cordner attack wise To me Cronulla were looking tired we were definately getting on top and I thought we would win the game going away

What changed things was a penalty for a strip which on the replay was shown to be demonstrably false From there the wheels fell off and we went in 26-0 down Had that been correctly called for a strip then I believe we would have won that game comfortably

                  Anyway on to next week

The game is full of inconsistancy and stupidity, just ask Snowden.
But it does seem that we cop the rough end of the pineapple more than most.
The" rules " are too grey.
Gives the game-managers too much influence.

That's not necessarily a bad thing mate.

I recall years ago I was bashed, well not really bashed more laughed at, when I said I see Maubs as a back rower.

I agree with Pipe, If Slutton can make a career playing in the 6 I see zero reason why RTS couldn't.

                      You know it makes sense.

                        Ditto.
His step is made for the 6.
That twinkle toes move on Carney the other night was the ducks guts.

Watch Cameron Smith. He looks like a CEO out there.
That's why Smith is the best footballer in the game by the length of the straight. But there is only one of him and he plays for Melbourne.
