Winning in spite of the penalty counts is making the season even sweeter..Like that game in NZ we chatted about the other day when we won despite a 15-2 count against us.

          Let me get this straight:

You both enjoyed losing to the Dragons in 2010?

And losing to the Dogs, Penrith and the Broncs?

          You were into it?

          Felt good?

          Fcuk. That will do me.

The Pipe is right on this one.

A 5th GF defeat in 14 seasons would send me to the mad house.

We do own Prelims though! 5 and 0 since the turn of the century lol

I totally understand what trewhella is saying.

However, our perforamance on Saturday didn't show signs of us being at our best, neither did our big win over Penrith the previous week. Their drubbing at the hands of the Cowboys shows how bad they are going.

Robinson seems to be a smart operator who understands what is required.

                We will be OK.

I want to see what we do to a team when we get a winning penalty count.

I hate to say but Im thinking we may struggle at the pointy end.

Souths will bounce( how was Burgess and the squirrel grip, HG and Roy where are you?)
                        Melbourne coming good.
                        Newcastle will improve
                        Manly solid.

                        My market

                        Souths 5/2
                        Melbourne 3/1
                        Manly 8/1
                        Newcastle 25/1

which leaves the roosters around 4/1 in my opinion.
                        We are currently unders.
My concern is that we haven't played any of the top teams at the time they were in form. We played Manly when they were struggling and had Foran plus three forwards missing. We played Dogs at their worst and who have only been in form more recently, and only once played Souths and storm this far and lost both those games. We have an easy run into the semis except for the final round, if we happen to lose round 26, it won't give us any time to regroup before the first semi. It's not an ideal preparation for the big pressure games.

Following a football side is as much about the journey as the destination. Agree i would rather make the grand final even if we lose as heartbreaking as it is losing one. I still get depressed watching some of the footage. When we win one well that is something special a life memory.

At least most of us on here get to go to them on a regular basis.. Unlike the Souths fans Andrew Walker had the pleasure of chatting to in the queue the other day to buy grand final tickets..they were talking about their once in a life time experience..Imagine being a Cronulla fan for instance..46 years and nothing to show for it...

Agreed the first generation of Cronulla fans could be heading to their graves having never won one, although we have only won three out of eight in my life they remain a special experience.

i am sure it means just as much to the players and Trent, they wont let this opportunity pass them without a fight
